I typically try to steer clear of Staten Island, but I've got to admit: the Hampton Inn & Suites/Staten Island came in super clutch when we faced last minute schedule changes....and they were warm and welcoming to boot. Their warm breakfast (with a variety of options to make everyone happy) is great, tasty, plentiful....and free! The location isn't the most accessible, in my opinion, but their grounds and such are lovely. Also, there is a Hilton Garden Inn across the lot that has a proper restaurant that seems pretty popular (they take reservations).
I really enjoyed my week there and very much recommend this location to others seeking accommodations in the Staten/Central (coastal-ish) Jersey area.

First and for most I would like to complain about the service at this hotel at the front desk٫ I arrived 7:15pm with 5 children for 2 Rooms booked online by my Lawyer and the receptionist at the front desk was judgmental

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, nice staff and great breakfast. Unfortunately I have disposable cardboard cutlery and plastic cutlery - hence a star deduction. Only hotel on our trip with enough towels in the room for 3 people.

Excellent value for money hotel, fair price, clean rooms, very good service, very good breakfast, close to the ferry, but its location is far from the main tourist attractions in New York, but the hotel is very good, I recommend it!!!
Rooms: Spacious, super comfortable bed, ok bathroom, very good shower
Walkability: It's not close to New York, its location is practically in New Jersey, but there's a free ferry that takes you to New York, you can take an Uber for a good price or bus to get to the ferry!
Food and drinks: It offers a delicious breakfast and the hotel also offers products for sale.

Great size room, a little outdated, but very comfortable and staff was friendly. Breakfast options were also a plus.

Rooms: Old but clean. Incredibly noisy facing the road. Trucks & bikes allllll night. Finally had enough & got up 2:50a & left for JFK.
Received a handicap room for some reason?
Shower was nice..until I stepped out to dry. Water, everywhere but going down the drain. No shower ridge due to wheelchair accessible design. Shower curtain 5"-6" off floor. You can guess the rest. Oh well

Good hotel with one small weakness. Unfortunately, our room was so damp that slight mold stains had already formed on the ceiling. This is probably because you simply cannot ventilate it. The air conditioning is of no use either.
And unfortunately we were accommodated on the street side where it was of course loud all night long. But that's not the hotel's fault. Since we were only there for 2 nights, we thought we should close our eyes and not ask for another room .But you could have done it.The bathroom was very nice and clean.Breakfast was also good. You can bake delicious waffles yourself and the older gentleman who is responsible for breakfast is very nice and polite.Just like a lady the reception. Unfortunately I forgot the name. There is an Italian restaurant next door in the Hilton Hotel, the food was very good, the waiters were very nice. We were there on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was very full, I would perhaps make a reservation in advance, Sunday it was very empty. On Saturdays the atmosphere was very nice thanks to the wonderful pianist. The way there to the ferry was a bit adventurous, Google gave us a bit of a strange guide. But it only took 20 minutes.

My family and I stayed at this hotel because we were in town for my mother's funeral. We tried to get a room at the Hilton next door but they were fully booked and the Hampton had a 2 Queen suite with a pull out sofa available. So we booked it for just over 1200 dollars for what was supposed to be 4 nights (Saturday- Tuesday). We ended up arriving at 1am Sunday morning. The room we were given was NOT a 2 queen suite. They gave us 2 Full beds and then rolled in a Twin bed for my 7yr old daughter that no exaggeration, was a box spring that had holes in it and a mattress that was essentially a thin layer of material and hard metal springs. I'm not being dramatic I promise you. When a7 year old tells you, dad this bed is poking me in the back, that's disgusting. At 7 I could sleep anywhere but in this case, the floor would've been more comfortable. So my wife calls down to ask for a new bed which were told couldn't be given and then we settled for extra blankets to soften the mattress best we could. Now it's 1am, so by 130 it's still not there. I go down to the front desk and purchase a milk and snack, she charges me $12 and when asked about the room, she looks it up and confirms it should be the queen suite. I explain it's not and she's quick to offer me a "ooooh I'm sorry sir, you could talk to my manager in the morning but unfortunately there is only single rooms left). Then I ask about my blankets and she says ok I'll see if security could bring it up because everyone is gone for the night. So I'm like ok how about I just take them from you and I'll bring them up. The full beds were only slightly more comfortable. No one ever came with new bed or to speak with us. Everytime I checked, manager was unavailable. Their breakfast was OK I guess, If you wanna sit on the toilet for an hour. Coffee was hard to swallow. With my mom's funeral being the worst week of my life, being out 1200 for a horrible experience at the hotel, was not what we needed. WILL NEVER STAY AT EITHER OF NICOTRA'S HOTELS EVER AGAIN.
Rooms: Sold me queen suite and have me smaller room with no discount
Noteworthy details: Beds were old and hard. Hotel had signs everywhere warning about child trafficking and to be careful. Guess they have an issue with that
