I am suspecting a good portion of “paid -for” reviews here as this place is far from animal hospital one would reasonably expect. You never heard of paid reviews? There are group who earn living by writing reviews: good to attract people, bad to destroy competition”.Show lack of understanding and knowledge yet bragging about knowledge. Within 4 min of exam vet kept saying: “in my 20 years of experience”; “me- who has 20 years of expertise” and so on. Why self-advertise so hard?Ignored my questions. Main concern for visit: rapid weight loss. He Took unnecessary tests like blood test and x-ray for $600 just to take something. Did not call with follow up to explain blood test. I called myself to find out, hoping to hear a diagnosis and added that pet vomit. He Suggested not to feed cat , to, I recite “to let her rest”. Yeah let’s not feed a cat with weight loss, and lets hope she will miraculously gain weigh on thin air. No diagnose been given either. “Keep me posted how she is doing”- he said. Speculated on - concern for visit is related to cat not being spayed. A shaman and burning sage would probably give better diagnosis than Andrey D did. (No disrespect to shamans)Zero manners. When I ask how much is for spay, he answered 500$. I said ok. Out of my budget. He made this arrrh sound, roll his eyes up and said “oh, please! Don’t tell me it’s expensive! He immediately hurt my feelings as I apparently don’t make enough money. Low income people are not respected by Andrey D. I felt like someone just shower me with feces for arriving by bus, not Porsche.Zero professional ethics.I said -“500$ spay is indeed too much for me. Again, I only speak for myself”- “and where else would you find cheaper?”- “there are shelters, programs. I don’t know”He rolled his eyes again: “really? You don't take your cat there! I know what they do and how they are doing”Andrey D. Had the audacity to disrespect all shelter’s vets who are helping low income population to take care of theirs loved pets, provided best care possible with limited resources at low or no cost at all?!?! I guess vet who don’t own a clinic is not respected by Andrey D.I usually avoid conflicts. It’s not worth time or pleasant experience either. I came home fuming but later calmed down and simply took my pet to another vet. I took cat for spay. I want her healthy. For 100$ , no waiting lines, no post surgery complications, my cat was inspected from nose to tail! So 20 years of experience of Andrey D. did not help this vet to suspect teeth pain. Bingo! It’s hard to eat when teeth are in pain and gums are infected thus loosing weight. ( oopsie, money oriented vet just lost 2k in profit- a medium price for dental work. This make me feel good)This is not the end of the story!I had to come back thou for medical records. I had to literally fight for it! On day 3 of my polite calls I had to raise my voice. This time I say what I think about service, manners, treating poorly referring clients, overlooking issues, no diagnose. Mind you, I still stayed within norms. I was not cursing, not calling names. I raised my voice just to be heard over the wall they surrounded themselves by. Wall of ignorance, incompetence and lies. So, On day 3 I lost my temper to “we cannot talk to you on the phone any longer, I have clients waiting. I will let doctor know” I said: “well I was here first. Three days ago to be exact. So whomever came, they will have to wait behind me. I be on hold as long as it’s needed. Also soap notes are not country best kept secret” . they put me on hold and shortly after a “well-trained-to shushing-people” woman picked up.-the doctor will give you nothing.-shut up, I am trying to read records-no, doctor write notes to himself only. You will get nothing.- the staff told you so because they are not trained that is why they kept saying (for 3 days in a row) you be getting records. This , if I may call, clinic, is max good for prescription refills and vaccines. I would not allow them inspect even anal glands of your pets..

I am a big fan. First visit today - last minute booking as another clinic cancelled on me.Very efficientRight on time for appt - effective schedulingVet is skilled - in fact that was quickest vaccine administered on a young kitty I have seenAnd the exam fee is $45 - not $85 like most other places I’d called/visited on the island. There’s parking right upfrontStaff is niceOffice is tidyIt’s not my usual vet (I usually troop to NJ) but while my vet is on vacation - I have to say I am fully satisfied with service and office and will recommend and patron in the future. Thanks guys ?

doctor Andrei Dembitsky is not a professional, he almost killed my cat, he did not make a diagnosis, he treated me with the wrong medicines. We ended up in an ambulance. I absolutely do not recommend this clinic.

This spot is a place that is best to be avoided. We arrived 8 minutes late for our scheduled appointment and were told by the receptionist that it would be impossible to see us for a quick checkup as we were late. We traveled halfway across Staten Island and took off time from work to be completely dismissed in a very rude way. Oblivious is the best way to describe the front desk as there is zero customer service here. Yes, we should have read the horrible experiences others have had in the past and taken heed. Be warned.

My dog Taku and I had a great experience here with Dr. Dembitsky! We came in for a second opinion, a mass was found in my dogs small intestine and he needed surgery right away. Dr. Dembitsky was very patient and understanding! He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I felt so comfortable that we decided to do the surgery here and I felt safe leaving my dog here. The surgery was successful. The rest of the staff was super friendly and great as well! The office is nice and clean!

Wonderful and caring staff. Brought my pup here for breathing issues and it turned out to be terminal. They were loving and kind when explaining the situation and gave me time and care while saying goodbye. My pup got to spend his last hours comforted and with assistance to help him feel stable and hang on until I got to say goodbye. He stayed with me to say goodbye and he had dignity in his last moments.I will forever be grateful to the staff here for the compassion in such a difficult time.

Con artist would be putting it lightly. I came in with my dog for an ear infection and was over charged. Now after a few months the problem came back and I need the prescription refilled. But this time instead of buying it from the Vet for $50 I am purchasing it from Chewy for $10. When I called to get the prescription refilled I am told sorry we can't refill the prescription unless you bring in the dog for you guessed it another visit. Never ever take your pet to this place!!!

Tried to get allergy medication for my dog but vet said that we can't get it until we come for more vaccines. Next apt they have open is in mid of April. So now my dog has to suffer? Very disappointed.

This place is amazing I don’t know why the people are rating 1 stars it’s called business of course it’s gonna be costing money to help your pet feel better, it ain’t free. The secretary is the nicest and sweetest person and helps you as much as she possibly can!!! The dr is a great guy and very professional at his work too!
