Bad quality. I just moved to Staten Island and was looking for a new nail salon. I got a gel manicure, one color and that’s it. It’s been less than a week and my nail polish is peeling off. The first nail started peeling three days after I had it done! I go easy on my nails and have never had this issue when getting my nails professionally done. They must’ve added too much thinner in their polish or something. Such a shame. The person who did my nails and the owner were both really nice. I thought I found my new nail place… I guess the search continues!

Horrible service, nasty workers, upcharge for everything! You're a nail salon, stop charging extra to cut, file and polish nails. You lost a customer.Service: Manicure

I usually don’t like coming here cause every time I go,I usually get nasty and rude nail techs. They treat your hands roughly and do everything in a rush but I came back here a couple of days ago cause my usual salon was closed and it’s right down the block -so for convenience. I went to get dip powder on natural nails. I had a girl which I forgot her name but she just had a bad attitude and looked miserable. When I asked her if she cannot use the nail drill on my natural nails and just to buff instead she told me rudely and defensively that they have to and that she’ll go light. I didn’t understand this cause I had no other residue on my nails that required using a nail drill to remove ? They could’ve simply buffed my nail. Of course just like previous times, the nail tech was rough and cut my cuticles roughly where I had a cut and some blood. I’m assuming they rushed cause it was a walk in appointment? But I would rather them tell me that they don’t take walk in’s than accept me and rush and do a poor job. Also I usually don’t write reviews for places but I was so fed up by my last time there I had to explain. Next time I’ll wait another day for my usual salon or any other salon to open up cause this place is not worth it. ??

The most professional staff with owners on site also. Immaculate facility, friendly staff, masks and shields, great array of polishes and designs. You won’t be disappointed!

You get what you pay for. The woman who did my pedicure rushed through the whole thing. I could have done a better job at home. Won’t come here again

I had a very nice first visit with Maggie at Maggie’s Nail Salon. It’s a very impressive, well equipped and clean place. I’m looking forward to returning soon for a gel manicure and other services.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. Even though it is not in my area, I gave it a try anyway. In the beginning I loved the friendly atmosphere. However yesterday, that changed. I received a gel concept manicure & regular spa pedicure on a Wednesday totaling to $100 (that was including tip) On Friday night, my nail polish chipped because it was not properly glued on to my actual nail, thus resulting in my ACTUAL nail eventually breaking. I went in Saturday morning to get it fixed. I was taking care of right away. When they were done with my nail they started writing a tab. I was like absolutely not I am not paying for a nail that should have NOT chipped in 2 days. Jeff the owner then came up to me and assumed that I hit it on something and broke it myself. I never told him that. I washed my hands and it chipped off... I told him I will NOT be paying at all for something that was not my fault. He said "This time I will do it next time you are being charged" Don't worry Jeff, there won't be a next time. The lady then continued to say "you're lucky" I'm lucky?! I just gave this place $100 then 2 days later was threatened to pay more for something that was not my fault. Absolutely disgusting stay away from this money hungry place.

Last week I had the worst experience at a nail place that I have ever had. I will never be coming back to this place. Last Monday (not even a week prior to the in incident) I had gotten my nails done, acrylic nails with a french tip design. I had gotten the same exact thing a few months prior from the same place for my vacation and it was fine and lasted 4 weeks so I'm not sure what happened to the quality of their materials.Shortly after I left the salon I noticed what seemed to be a crack on my right pinky nail but assumed she just filed that part a little thin and it was fine, just one mistake. After 2 days I noticed discoloration on my nails. Since I got acrylic not gel, I expected some chipping but what I got was way worse. The white on my nails literally looked like it was deteriorating and rotting! I politely called to see if they could fix the color and the manager told me he would have to see the damage first in person even though I offered to send a photo because I didn't want to travel there if he wasn't going to definitely fix it. Regardless, I complied and went the next day and as soon as I showed him my nails and before I could even get a word out to spill my frustrations he immediately started scolding me that it was "my fault because I touch chemicals" , mind you I have had the same nails before and wasn't doing anything different, let alone not touching chemicals. He then proceeded to tell me "i'm not fixing that because you got acrylic color and I cant guarantee acrylic color will look good after two days" and this was only a few days after I had gotten them done. This is extremely ridiculous as I pay for a service that should last 1-2 weeks at LEAST and they didn't even last a few days without looking vile and he was persistent about not fixing it. He finally agreed to repaint them and once again started scolding me for banging my pinky on something and that's why it broke (which I didn't). However, I did break another nail which I admitted was by banging it on a door (still broke very easily but I admit that one I did bang) Anyways, he1- refused to fix the pinky nail that was literally broken when i left last time unless I paid him another $42- I asked him if he could fix the other one and not only did he refuse but he pressed down so hard on this nail to the point where it literally cracked my nail and began to bleed even though I asked him to be careful with it (he also did fix it and just painted over the crack AND BLOOD, and put the nail polish brush back into the bottle like that) and he told me after he already painted it to "be careful it could very well get infected" .The new paint job was not neat at all and he left me with white residue from the previous nail polish all over my hands. I have never had a problem with this nail salon before but after this not only rude but disappointing experience I will never be returning (these are the only photos i have, the pink nails are after they were re painted)Service: Acrylic nails

This is not the place to go to for powder dipI’ve been doing powder for a few years now soI know the process, yes they do use SNS powder but the color selection is minimal & the base, top & activator we’re some generic brand I’ve never heard of so let’s see how long my nails last. They’re technic sucks after 3 dios she was already buffing with the purple buffer just to make it smooth at no point did she attempt to file down the powder and shape my nails it was only when I said something that she did a quick buffing with a heavy grit at that. My nails are still thick I’ll never go back there..seems like gels & acrylics are their thing.Service: Dip powder
