Terrible customer service!The female Asian worker at the checkout counter was helping another customer who was purchasing lottery tickers. I placed my wine on the counter and waited patiently. A few minutes later, another customer approaches the counter and the Asian lady tells him to go to the other counter. When she finishes helping the customer purchasing the lottery tickets, she then walks over to the other customer.My presence was not acknowledged by this worker who told the customer behind me to go to another register as I waited. The customer saw me approach and began apologizing, although it was not his fault or wrongdoing. The worker still never acknowledged what she did!The worker shrugged her shoulders as I told her “I am not making a purchase here” , left my wine on the counter, and proceeded to walk out the door!I will never return! There are plenty of other options on Forest avenue!

Not friendly serviceI purchased 2 bottles of wine and they put it in a paper bag.The problem is it only went halfway up the bottlesI told her it was unacceptable and she sold me a cloth bag for 25 centsAll the other liquor stores give it freeThey lost a customer!

Almost every bottle is at least $2-$5 (or more) higher priced than it is at many other stores away from Staten Island. Bullet proof glass in front of cashier. They are not welcoming, but they ARE cheap in the other sense. My bottle of wine was put in a paper bag small enough for a couple of candy bars-when I asked for a bag that would actually hold the wine, the cashier told me it would be 25 cents more. Anyone viewing this place as a "discount" store probably hasn't been to any liquor stores off of Staten Island, where it seems that pricing wine and liquor higher than most anywhere else is the rule, not the exception. Pay the toll and go to Bayway World right across the Goethels Bridge, or go to Super Buy Rite right at the Holland Tunnel entrance in Jersey City. See how you're being ripped off by virtually every Staten Island liquor store with the EXECPTION of SI Discount Liquor on Forest-an oasis in a desert of maddeningly price gouging Staten Island liquor stores. Pete Milano's isn't worth visiting. Spend your money elsewhere. Also note that every positive review is between 4-9 years old. The current owners are trading on the Pete Milano name. Shame on them.
