Terrible location! The people working here don’t know what they’re doing. Came for a test, they never sent over the test samples to the lab! Had to reschedule to another location. The women who took me in had ZERO clue as to what she was doing (Diana). And the other women (Hilda) literally could not even be bothered to help, and gave her little guidance and directions. Useless and incompetent.

I do not like having to sign for documents that they do NOT let you see or review. Leaves a feeling of underhandedness.

The Quest Diagnostics on 78 Todt Hill Rd in Staten Island, NY is my favorite lab to get blood tests. It is clean and well maintained. The check-in process is very easy. I made an appointment on line and put in all my health insurance information in advance. When I arrived, I had received a text that I was advised to click on to "check-in". As soon as I did that, the lab technician came to get me. I didn't even have to wait a single minute to be taken. I also want to give a special thanks to the lab technician herself. I've been told that I don't have very 'good veins' for drawing blood and this was a fasting test, which can make drawing blood even more challenging. I shared this with her. In spite of all of this, she got the needle in on her first attempt and didn't cause me any discomfort. I sometimes get black and blue at the site of the blood draw, but she was so good that today, I can barely see the spot where the needle went in. One of the best lab technicians I've had!
This Quest Diagnostic location knows how to hire and train the right people and maintains a very appealing location to visit.

I made a 7:10 am appointment and arrived at 7 am and checked in. Was taken right away for my bloodwork…super easy. Quest emailed when my results were in and I checked on the app.

For years, I have been utilizing Quest Diagnostics. They are usually accessible and have always been close to the places I have lived. Unfortunately, I had a little issue with it when I visited them the last time.
The clerk, whose name is Hilda, refused to accept my insurance card when I arrived because I had recently started with a new insurance provider. It struck me as strange. She tried to draw blood from me after that, but she was having trouble finding a vein. In addition to puffing and huffing, she was acting dramatic. She ultimately made the decision to take a blood sample from a vein on the side of my arm. Because these veins are typically smaller, I had a bruise there. Although I do not mind the bruise per se, I do object to the fact that she did not even glance at my other arm. I concluded that she most likely intended to intentionally harm me as a result. This is unusual because I generally praise this organization.

I was late. They took me anyway. I did have to wait about 15 minutes. Very nice.
