If I could leave zero stars I would. We boarded my dog with them for 2 weeks at the beginning of November. When I picked her up she was 1+ IBs lighter and I could feel her spine. I was told she went on 3 long walks a day as a way to explain the weight loss. When we got home she was uninterested in eating and having diarrhea. We finally got her to eat something and she vomited. After a couple of days of this I took her to the emergency clinic since this vet does not hold night hours. At the emergency clinic we were told my dog was in kidney and liver failure and had a huge heart murmur that we were never informed of. We tried to fight for her, but she eventually succumbed to the illness. I wonder how long my dog was having these symptoms before I picked her up. We had boarded her here since she was their patient for the past 3 yrs and we thought a vet would be the best place. They knew she was having issues as I left a voicemail for them before I went to the emergency clinic and they never bothered to call us to check in and see how she was doing. I filled out a survey and requested that they call me and I have yet to receive a call. There are a few good people there, but the rest are mean girls. So save your pet and go to another vet and definitely do not board your pet here.

Had a good experience here, vet was nice and staff was very helpful and kind (especially the brunette woman at the front desk who helped me with a coupon). I didn't feel like I was given much information regarding the issue my cat was having...rather just an expensive treatment plan to treat what was a bit of a mystery rash...turned out a little.hydrocortisone cream from Amazon cured it :) ($12 bucks)

Had to say goodbye to my dog. They were very caring, understanding and supportive. Besides talking to me with the concern, they listened the story of my dog and really show empathy. They gave us as much time and space we needed. The emotional support was much needed and appreciated.

The wait time was minimal, the place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the call the day after my dog's visit checking to see if my dog was feeling fine. Love going to South Shore Animal Hospital

A stray was dropped off after being hit by a car and protocol is to send to shelter. They were kind enough to allow us to save him and the most amazing part was they covered his X-rays and bloodwork which saved us a tremendous amount of money since he did need to be hospitalized overnight for a few nights at another facility. This was so kind of them to do their part in this rescue.

After moving to the area my cat Makko had a scare so I made an appointment here and was scheduled very quickly. The staff were wonderful when I brought my cat in for the appointment. I told them after moving my boy started to become lethargic and refused to eat or drink. The staff were absolutely wonderful and gentle with my boy during the whole process of the exam and tests. They were very reassuring, took their time and made sure to be incredibly thorough when figuring out what was wrong with Makko. After all the tests they ran, only for my boy to be blocked from not getting enough liquids, I expected to be paying much more. The prices were more than fair for everything we had done.Glad this where I brought him. They gave me excellent service and peace of mind, which is priceless.

Though my dog got checked out and given medicine, this place likes to nickel and dime you. They did tests my dog didn’t need and then told us there was no charge for a follow up that it was included in the $500 or final cost. “The doctor just wants to make sure he’s okay” was what my husband was told. After the follow up, they ended up charging us anyway. When I complained to the girl there she told me someone would get back to me, no one ever did. They also never honored my new customer discount.

Convenient, but they make mistakes (my cat was misdiagnosed for a year. Long story short, he suffered in pain from a serious infection that they missed). And, they are SO EXPENSIVE.

Terrible experience, used website to make appointment it said failed for 2 separate appointments called the next day and they gave my wife an attitude on the phone, At the appointment they did not allow my wife in the room with our dog as per the vets request meanwhile no mention was made to us during the making of the appointment. I called to ask why we weren’t informed when the appointment was made and was once again given an attitude by a woman saying “ Most people don’t care things are going on in the world (COVID) “. She didn’t seem to understand I was not okay with NOT being told at the time of appointment that my wife wouldn’t be allowed in the room with our dog during the exam.

I want to thank Stephaine and Tanya the office manager, so much for taking such excellent care of my little 5 lb chihuahua, which was born with needing an operation called cryptorchid. I was so worried but Stephaine and Tanya keep me updated every step of the way. Tanya is so caring and takes great pride in her job loving and caring for animals. Stephaine was amazing she knows how I worry about my dogs which in fact. I owned 3 beautiful chihuahua which are all seen by Southshore animal hospital. She called me every step of the way. Dr. Asaro I couldn’t thank her enough for performing an amazing surgery… Thank you south shore staff. I would highly recommend them the staff is absolutely wonderful day. Take great pride and joy in their job loving the animals first. Thanks… love, Tito, Lillian and junior

This is the worst animal hospital going do not go there unless you want your dog misdiagnosed. Office staff is terrible especially the office manager who is very rude and condescending. And does not believe in the Saying"THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT" the prices are through the roof especially on dental compared to any other vets on the Island that is why they are trying to rope you in to that insurance plan of THEIRS.The only one that has any sense is the lady above the the office manager. If I could give it less than one star I would. TAKE IT FROM ME STAY OUT OF THERE COMPLETE HORRO SHOW.NOT LIKE WHEN MARYGRACE WAS OFFICE MANAGER SHAME SHE RETIRED!!!

My senior dog needed a dental cleaning, the care she received was extraordinary. I was kept up to date and she came home a happy dog without any issues. Dr. Asaro and the entire staff are amazing and a pleasure to work with.
