The historic St. George Theatre, nestled in the St. George neighborhood of Staten Island is a 1900-seat non-profit theatre that plays host to a wide variety of headline and community events. Opened in 1929 as a lavish movie palace and vaudeville theatre, the theatre boasts beautiful Spanish/Italian baroque style paintings, chandeliers, stained glass windows, grand staircases, an incredible dome, and one of the largest cantilevered balconies ever built.
