WE had a very nice time at Maple Shade. The hostess, Lindsay, was very pleasant and knowledgeable and the rooms were clean and well taken care of.The location is very handy to the Saratoga Battlefield and Lake Saratoga. And very quiet at night. However, if you intend to visit the great restaurants in Saratoga proper be prepared for driving back on some very dark country roads.Lastly the Breakfasts were excellent and different each morning. You will be very happy with this B&B.

My husband and I enjoyed a one night stay in this lovely bed and breakfast. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lindsay is a wonderful hostess and her breakfast was outstanding. She's a pro and just the sweetest! We would definitely return if we are ever in the area.

Very quiet and relaxing. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! The owners were very nice. We also got to see a meteor shower! It was a bit far from the two places we needed to go to for the events we were going to, but that was on us for not checking a map.I would definitely recommend staying here!

This house on over 80 acres, overlooking the mountains in Vermont, is an oasis of peace and comfort just 19 minutes to Saratoga. Lindsey, Kyle and Lisa are great hosts.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Maple Shade for a few nights during my most recent travels, and this Inn is by far the best B&B that I've ever stayed at! As a young female on solo travel, safety is always a priority and a concern, and I felt not only safe but at complete peace at this beautiful property and under the thoughtful and kind care of Lindsay and Kyle (and their adorable little pup Schatzi). I stayed in the yellow room with the whirpool tub, and between the immensely comfortable and soft bed (best sleep that I've had in ages!), the cleanliness, the amenities, the relaxing and inviting common spaces, the stocked fridge with beverages, the snack and fruit offerings, and the absolutely delicious and mouth-watering breakfasts hand-made by Lindsay and her culinary talents, I truly cannot recommend this Inn enough. When I had originally looked for hotels and B&Bs in/near Saratoga Springs I knew that I wanted to stay somewhere that was accessible to the town but in an area that was free from road noise, was safe, was historic, and was a place that offered peace and relaxation, and after staying at this Inn I experienced all of that and more, feeling at home away from home. The proximity to the battlefield is the icing on the cake, as this Inn is essentially next door to the most critical battle in our nation's history, and this truly is just the most perfect place, in the most perfect location, with the most perfect Innkeepers. I cannot recommend the Maple Shade enough and I definitely plan to be back in the future!

My wife and I got a hot tip from a friend about this amazing little family run BnB. The rooms have old horse country charm with modern amenities. The breakfast was even better than we’d been warned. Home made muffins were out of this world. Will be coming back soon!

We immediately realized this gem was the right choice. Clean, private, convenient in a beautiful setting. The breakfast is unreal and the host/owner goes above and beyond to ensure the guests are comfortable. Strongly recommend!

My sister and I stayed here one night while traveling through the Hudson River valley. Lindsay, our hostess, was SO wonderful and friendly, such a sweetheart! She made sure we had everything we needed, and helped to make our stay the BEST. She does the rooms, cooks a great breakfast, provides all the trimmings, and the kitchen is available to us all evening at our leisure, for tea/coffee! Beautifully decorated house, lovely setting, very comfortable beds, great front porch! We would have stayed longer but we were traveling on our way; otherwise, this was a terrific place to spend time in the Adirondack area.

We had 2 amazing stays with Lindsay and Kyle when we were visiting Saratoga for the Saratoga Horse Shows! From the fresh baked muffins and fruit breakfast to the tidy rooms and beautiful scenery, it was a lovely home-away-from-home. Cherry on top was that it is only a 7 minute drive from the show grounds! Thank you for such a great visit and we can't wait to be back!

There are many reasons to visit Saratoga, but whatever brings you there, you should plan on being there for more than a day. Which means you will need a place to stay. We recommend the Maple Shade Bed and Breakfast located just outside the city of Saratoga.Tom and Joanne, the owners, have gone out of their way to juxtaposition the simplicity of a bygone era with the most modern comforts of today. The entire property is beautifully decorated, very clean and well-kept. We enjoyed our stay in the Blue Room. The king size bed was very comfortable and my wife enjoyed the down pillows. So much so that she bought one when we got home. The fireplace in the room was romantic and also helped us get warm after our wet outside adventures. The jacuzzi tub was very relaxing after a long day of walking the cold, wet streets of Saratoga in the rain.We were hoping to sit on the porch and relax a bit, though the weather was uncooperative. Joanne did tell us that there are mugs for Cocoa or hot coffee to sip while sitting on the porch, but we didn't get to that. The breakfasts were incredible. One day Western omelettes and bacon the next was pancakes and sausage links. Whatever the daily breakfast special was, it never left us wanting. Fresh, warm, homemade muffins and chilled fresh fruit along with coffee and tea accented the meal perfectly. The kitchenette was well stocked with snacks and drinks and the Wi-Fi was easily accessible and very reliable. This bed and breakfast was by far THE best that we have ever stayed in. We are looking forward to visiting Tom and Joanne again very soon.

I am a full time busy Mom who needed an escape from responsibilities and expectations. Maple Shade Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place for me to reset and provide much needed self care. The owners were very kind and accomodating. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. I stayed in the yellow room and the jacuzzi tub was very nice. 20 minutes from Saratoga Springs.
