Helpful people, and I like that it's a local bank that invests in the community and employs local folks.

The business I work for banks with USB and this is our Home Branch. I am in often, during peak times and slower times, and the management staffs to appropriate levels and they do a great job creating a welcoming, professional environment with the entire team.

This is a community bank that really tries to be helpful to their customers. UNLIKE Central Hudson, which took money from my account WITHOUT my permission through their "automated system". My tax bill would not have cleared--so the branch manager, Moriah, called me at home and told me about the discrepancy, and I was able to move money into the account without any penalties and without bouncing my check to the tax collector---something I am very grateful for! Great business practices for a truly community oriented bank. The Stone Ridge Ulster Savings bank puts human beings before blind profit. Central Hudson however prefers to behave like a rabid vampire.

Manager Jared and Head Teller Sierra and the rest of this fantastic team at the Stone Ridge branch make banking a true pleasure. They help with any problem, large or small, and the smiles and friendliness make it all painless. In times like these, it’s sure nice to have real people behind the counter!

Since switching to Ulster Savings Bank I have nothing but wonderful experiences at the Stone Ridge branch. From dog treats for the pups through the drive thru to helping process multiple deposits. Everyone here helps with a friendly attitude and a true small town feel. These are great people here.

I love banking with Ulster Savings in Stone Ridge! The staff is very friendly and professional. They are fast and knowledgeable. I have a new business owner and opened a business account at Ulster Savings Bank. I have had several questions along the way. Their manager, Melissa, has been very helpful and patient. Melissa and her whole staff has been a pleasure to work with. Furthermore, USB is always supporting local events around our area. I have seen them donate and support many school events. I love supporting a local business that is also giving back to their community! I highly recommend USB!

I have had ongoing issues with this bank, since I moved to Ulster County and switched to this bank. In their defense, let me say I have two family members who bank there, and have no problems. BUT .... I apparently got enough problems for the whole family. First, there was the annoyance of not being able to get my middle name on my debit card, to match my legal signature, like my other cards ... credit, debit, etc. I even appealed and it was kicked up to a manager who rejected my request. More problematic, was the fact that they turned off my debit card, with zero notice. There was plenty of money in the account, and the card was 2 years from expiring. Since I use my debit card instead of a credit card whenever possible, the surprise was awkward. And it was a surprise, because I found out only when I was trying to check out. That happened a bit over a year ago, and then again, earlier this month. That's right ... a second time. Same thing... with plenty of money in the account and 2 years until the card expired. Forget trying to resolve this issue by phone. You'd have better luck getting God on the phone. Their phone recording says the call may be recorded because they prioritize customer service. Hardy har har! Try calling their customer service number, and dealing with all the menus and prompts and hold times. So I went to the branch (Stone Ridge) and put my card in the pneumatic with a question of why it was turned off. I was told they issued me a new card (no idea why, and with no notice whatsoever) last month, which only know I never got. A friendly girl at the branch promptly made me a new card and brought it out to me in the car. Too bad there were no instructions on how to activate it. I called them by phone days later, and was told to go on their web site to activate it .... which I had already done ... unsuccessfully as it turned out. Their web site gave me the option of keeping my existing PIN, which I selected, and it acknowledged my selection before I logged out. Cutting to the chase ... the newest card left me hanging again in a checkout line ... I called customer service again ... was told to go on-line to reset the PIN ... which I did ... again ... At least this time I was expecting it to not work, and I wasn't wrong. So now, I'm in the process of changing banks. I have never in my long life had such hassles with a bank, especially over something that I thought was pretty routine.

I had a horrible traumatic experience at this Branch and felt incredibly disrespected and even criminalized. I was very excited to join the branch and the reason I joined this bank and left my bank was to be able to have a bank closer to me as well as the ability to make international transfers. A week after I joined I tried to make an international wire transfer to a family member outside of the country, the person who helped me had no experience with international transfers and seemed to think it would be no issue. I was very happy and left the bank thinking we were all set. I then got a call a day or two later asking for more information. I provided said information. Great, then a day later I receive an email(no call) saying the wire was not going to be made and that they have the right to close my account and would be doing so. No FURTHER INFORMATION. NO PHONE CALL. This was traumatic and very upsetting. Once I finally spoke to Mary Rose she too had nothing to say. I feel completely disrespected, and felt I was treated as a criminal. Very sad to have had this experience as I was very excited about banking here. If you ever need to make an international transfer or want good costumer service when it comes to an issue I would NOT bank here.

Ulster Savings Bank is the only bank we've used for 40 years. They are wonderful, professional and attentive. We checked out every bank when we moved here and Ulster Savings Bank was it for us!

The entire staff went above and beyond to help me during this hard situation. I was having issues with my debit card not working , freaking out over not wanting to use actual cash and they not only quickly assisted me, the staff and manager all made my issue a priority. They quickly resolved it and even gave me a new card right then and there! They weren’t allowing people inside unless it was appointment but they were happy to squeeze me in and got me in and out in no time. I appreciated every one of them and will continue to support them. All I can say is , THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!
