If I could give this place zero stars I would! I came in with my MIL to buy a few things for my 10 month old. One of the items didn't have a tag so they spent about 15 minutes trying to "find" it in the system. When they couldn't find it and my son was getting fussy we suggested that they ring up the exact same item that has a different pattern, they said no and they would contact the owner and I could drive back if I wanted it. I explained I live in NYC and could not come back. They were so condescending and rude and said "This is a business, we have policies. You don't make up whatever rules suit you". So nasty. Ended up not buying any of the 4 overpriced outfits we picked and left. I will never come back to this place. All the reviews are correct. The staff is disgusting and they're overpriced. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY BUSINESS. THEY DO NOT APPRECIATE THEIR CUSTOMERS OR GIVE PEOPLE BASIC RESPECT!

I bought my daughters baptism gown here and it was classic and beautiful. The shop has wonderful, timeless children’s clothing as well as fun and trendy pieces.

The reviews below about the shop staff are completely true. I was at the check out counter and then my daughter found a bunny blanket that she liked. She accidentally dropped it and was trying to pick it up, but was having trouble. This blonde lady (shop owner) swoops over and rips it from her, dusts it off and gives out the biggest sigh, and storms away. I was in complete shock. I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior with an establishment. My daughter was crying for the entire car ride saying how mean the blonde lady treated her. She also yelled at my year old son for wanting to play with the stuffed animals. I am absolutely appalled. Please don't give this woman your business. How could you go into the children's business and dislike children so much? Also, please stop overcharging your inventory as well, thank you.

When you go in to buy a dress for your 1 year old Babys funeral and the woman behind the counter has no heart at all. All she cares about is her $400 for the infant size dress and tellsl the baby’s mother it’s a final sale. Disgusting!!!

Came in here with my 16 month old in search of shoes. I wanted to have him measured and fitted. They didn't have the correct equipment and offered to measure his feet with a ruler? I don't think this store is for actual, human children. It seems that it's better for dressing up dolls in fancy, overpriced and impractical outfits. Not to mention the staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming, including toward my son. It made no sense because it is a store for children and yet they acted as if it was annoying for him to be in there and for us to ask for help.

Thought this would be a great store for a baby gift. Picked out 3 small baby toys and when I was rung up I thought the total was a mistake ($72). I immediately went home and purchased the same exact toys on BuyBuyBaby for $45. When returning the items a day later, I was only allowed to get a store credit (which was just the dollar amount written on a piece of paper and expires in 1 year). Be aware of the insane markups and return policy.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the vast majority of reviews... the staff is so extremely rude in this store. I always want to like this shop because it's local and they do have a decent selection, but they are just so unpleasant. I made the mistake of giving them another try because I needed an outfit for my daughter for that evening. The staff is unwilling to help and quite honestly walks around like there's a stick up their rump. Their clothes are nice, but it's not like they carry premier children's brands - you're walking into Cottontails, not Neiman Marcus. Regardless, when I don't have time to wait for shipping, I need somewhere local. Additionally, I know a lot of stores have suffered due to COVID, so I like to shop local when I can. I can promise I will never support Cottontails with my money again. I purchased a dress after being pointed in the direction of the sizes I was looking for - no one came from behind the counter to help me, just pointed in the direction - and after buying a dress, the woman behind the counter, who was wearing an old sweatshirt, put the receipt on top of the dress and that was that. I understand there is a 5 cent charge for bags in Suffolk... so ask! Don't just assume I want to carry out a dress in my hands after spending over $60.00 on a dress (same dress is $10.00 cheaper from the designer directly). Also, prior to purchasing the dress, I was contemplating another dress as well. I asked what the return policy was - I wanted to see which one my daughter preferred - I was told store credit only. Store credit only even if I returned one the next day with tags still on it. Be that as it may, it was the way they said it, just so condescending and nasty to be quite honest. The shop is never packed with customers when I have gone in, I'm not sure how they stay open with snotty staff turning people off. Really such a shame.

I was looking for a place where I can get a gift basket done for a newborn baby. I got to the place at 5:05 pm and they were already closed for the day, due to the fact that they close early at the first day of school. The staff took pity on me and let me in. They gladly helped me choose things I needed to fill a gift basket. Though the price is on the high side, the quality of the materials justify it. They were very helpful, and in my short period in the store, I actually enjoyed looking through the selections. I will defintely go back.

While this is a children's store, don't bring your child! My two year old was walking around with his grandma and being two he was a little loud but he wasn't hurting anyone or breaking anything. She started nastily talking about him to a customer she was checking out! I was appalled. I'm a strict parent and would have taken him right out if there was any sort of issue. She said "I'm just trying to do my job"...?? I left without buying the items that were in my hand because she was so rude. I had previously asked her if something came in a larger size and she told me to go look at nordstrom. It's too bad because the store is sweet and I liked a lot of the clothes they carried.

Do not shop here. Horrible, horrible customer service. They will not help you and are snobby. I asked where I could find a few items in their store and they acted like I was a burden to them. I am a New born parent who happily spends for my daughter. I have been here several times and each person helping is worse than the previous. I purchased a dress yesterday and was told to get a smaller size because it runs big. I went back today because it was too small and they would not change for the bigger size. Identical dress. I understand that I lost receipt yesterday but they would not help at all. Avoid this place. Go to dennys where the staff help you(and are excited to).

So disappointed!!!! I ordered a beautiful white box for a Christening. When I bought the box the sales person informed me that I would be able to get the baby's name painted on the top. I thought that this was a fantastic idea, making the box just that more special. We discussed when to pick the box up, as I had a short time frame. The sales person, who was very kind, explained that it would take several days for the person to paint the box and then it would have to properly dry. Well, much to my shock and disappointment, when I went to pick the box up, I looked at it very closely and realized that there were cheap letter stickers (like you find in Michael's) that spelled the baby's name out!!!!!! One of the stickers was actually coming off already. I was VERY upset to say the least. The sales person who waited on me was kind, but clearly did not know how to manage this situation. She took my cell number and assured me that she would have the owner call. NEVER heard from the owner. I would have thought that Cottontails would have had more integrity. No wonder their Yelp rating is so low! I wished I would have checked the yelp reviewed before I went into the store!!!!!

Leaving give stars after receiving such nice customer service from the lady in the shop. She was happy to show us a bunch of toys and chat with us. One customer was a super grumpy mom, but they were quite patient... Even with the crazy lady.
