So needed a new front door lock, went to depot first and received 0 help trying to track down the correct lock, when I figured it out I couldn’t get keys and I don’t like the self service machine, now headed to Lowe’s in lake grove, fretted as I walk in this employee asked what I needed then walked me straight to the locks, he made 4 extra keys and tested them onsite… that’s what service is about…

The Stony Brook Lowes is super conveniently located, but otherwise a disaster. Most of the people who work there are either avoidant or straight up rude, especially at the care desk. I didn’t expect great service because it’s a DIY place but was shocked at the friendly assistance at Home Depot down the road. Wah.

Do not purchase any appliances here. They do not stand behind their product and instead shuffle you off to a third party vendor they have no control of whenever anything goes wrong. We paid over $200 for a warranty, called when the washer broke and was told someone would be at the house from 8am - noon on Thur to repair it and no one showed up. They called later in the day and said they had an emergency, which is understandable, and that someone would be there on Friday from noon to 5pm. Once again, no one showed up and this time they they didn't even call. When we called to find out what was going on they stated that their tech was running late and it's too late to make a change, they will have some come on Monday between noon and 5. When I asked to speak with someone in a management position the woman REFUSED to put me on with anyone. When I asked what her name was she told me I'm not allowed to ask personal questions. When I asked her the name of her boss whom I was supposed to call and speak with on Monday, I was told again that I can't ask personal questions. Craziness!
When I try to contact anyone at Lowes for customer service all I get is an automated system that will not connect you to a human. Brutally frustrating. So two days off from work and now over two hours trying to get someone on the phone who can help us, so far to no avail. SMH

I gave it a 5-star review a few days ago because the service was excellent.
But today, there has free bottles event and my wife and children went to pick them up.
The staff were rude, insisting I had to be there in person to claim them.
Can't families use the same membership account?
Their attitude was incredibly aggressive, and it felt a bit discriminatory.
I hope the store supervisor this issue! It wasn't until someone who seemed like a supervisor came to address the issue.
It was supposed to be a fun event,
so why ruin the atmosphere so much?
So, I'm downgrading it to 3 stars.

Always been coming here. Today went to check out kids said randomly they were thirsty and the check out lady at the self check out overheard it and went and grabbed them a water without us even noticing. I was checking out and offered to pay for it of course and she said “please don’t worry about it this is what we do”. Very very nice of her. First time for that for me. Just wanted to say thank you. Was on 8/22 at about 330 pm.

I must say, they have a great selection and the customer service by the employees is excellent. Kudos to whomever is training them. I have been a Home Depot customer for over 20 years. I might be switching to Lowes as my go to from now on. Oh, I forgot to mention that it appears cleaner and more organized than Home Depot as well.
