Unreachable. Sent Final Notice bill before any others!
Total disgrace and a perfect example of why the US health system has such a bad reputation.

I recently received a bill for $1,465.00 for a sample diagnosis after an upper GI scope. I have good insurance that already costs me thousands of dollars annually, am retired and to get hit with an unexpected bill like this has never happened before. I was never informed that i would be billed by this company. Now I'm making daily calls to cdx, my Dr's office and my insurance company to try and resolve this. It's very stressful. Do yourself a favor and find out if your dr uses this lab and make sure any test is fully covered. If you don't get a guarantee, I would find another dr. or demand they use another lab. Posting my experience on the Baretts Group on Facebook. If you have Baretts it's an excellent resource.
Update: 6/26/25. I got a call from Sr. Management at the company and they resoloved my issue. We also discussed that companies and Dr.s need to do a better job informing and working with patients ahead of time so that people don't get surprised with expensive bills that can really put them in a bad financial situation. I have since changed my rating because everyone at this company was professional and seemed concerned with resolving this.
Also my rating is soley based on billing practices. I can't speak to whether this test is the latest and greatest but I can say that the company does seem to care about the people it serves. I reserved one star because this experince has left me with feeling uneasy with future proceedures and billing but I think this has become an unfortunatel trend in our current medical system regardless of insurance.

I just received a bill from CDx Diagnostic for $880!! I know nothing of this Company and never gave any permission to have this Lab work? I go for my endoscopy every 3 years for 30+ years and have never received a bill from this place. Last endoscopy was Aug 5th, 2024. Now I have to wait the weekend to call my gastroenterologist to find out what’s what. Anyone else get these random bills?

Their billing department is sketchy. I received a bill with an adjusted amount. After going to my claims on my insurance website they never submitted a claim. I called and said I wasn't paying without insurance verification the exorbitant amount (which we never agreed to) was correct and verified and asked for them to resubmit claim so I can see it on insurance claim portal. I am still waiting...it's been over 10 weeks and 4 months from actual procedure.

I am a submitting doctor. I am writing this review based on my experience and that of my patient. First, it appears that the "on hold" wait time is not a bug of the system but a feature. They are obviously hoping everyone will just get frustrated and pay the INSANE bills they send without a clean and clear billing record. This is a veteran who wanted a brush biopsy at my recommendation. The form says that the patient will not be billed for anything. They will accept what the insurance pays. Their fee for a simple brush biopsy has ranged from the low $300 to over $3,000. My receptionist has spent time, on the clock, dealing with the billing company on behalf of the patient. I finally got answers I understood. The patient didn't have any medical Medicare benefits outside the hospital. He would need to have a part B coverage which he doesn't. I let them know of my displeasure with their system and insisted that they stop billing my patient. I got a return call that confirmed my request. I have decided to upgrade my 1* review to a 2* review because I don't have confidence that their billing system is "fixed". I refuse to go through this headache again. I want my 2 hours back. I also want reimbursement (I have no hope for that) for my employee's time spent helping this patient.

billing department is a joke. they have sent me 5 different bills all with different prices, all while saying this is the final bill, tried to send me to collections 2 times , we are goin on 13 months now and they still cant get me a actual bill for payment. the bills they sent range from 500,8--,2500 and 4,000 meanwhile insurance has paid out already and they sent the ( remaining) ( disputed ) bill to the wrong insurance company 2 times

Ridiculous. Can't even run their billing department correctly. My insurance paid them out MONTHS ago and then they threatened to send me to collections. Joke of a company.
