Been playing guitar at Deerkill Day Camp's Fall Fest for 14 years and every return shows a higher level of care and love poured into every bit of family fun and wholesome good time activities... Super grateful to play a small part in this wonderful destination where family and friends come first and there's always a smile and a treat at this lush green fieldy location!! Todd & his Family Staff are simply THE BEST and Deerkill is a family tradition that's here to stay!

My brother and I attended this camp years ago, maybe around 10 years ago now and we were talking about it at dinner last night and I decided to leave a review. I would say overall this is a pretty great place to send your kids. I remember being really impressed with the amounts of activities available for us kids to attend in. My favorite was swimming. They actually taught us how to do things in the water (dives, different strokes etc). A few honorable mentions go to pottery, yoga, and of course Gaga ball. I also remember a woman teaching us how to cook or create a few snacks here and there and one time we dipped Oreos in chocolate and froze it and it was delicious and I do it until this day when I’m craving something chocolatey. My only complaint was that I fell into the pond during boating but that’s my own fault. I also was a really shy kid and had trouble making friends at first but once I got comfortable it was great!

I sent my 2nd grader to Deerkill for 2 weeks this past summer to experience camp for the first time. He loved it and wants to be back next summer! There were daily photo updates in the camper app to keep the adults updated. The weekend pool club for the whole family is a nice bonus.

Both of my children attend Deerkill and they look forward to camp all year long! My 7 year old says it’s the “best 8 weeks of his life!”

I would not recommend this summer camp to anyone. My son attended for only two weeks out of an eight-week contract, and we were given only one day's notice to leave the camp. The reason for our dismissal was because of my 4-year-old son "wondering around" during group activities outside and "touching other people's food when having lunch." These are completely normal behaviors for a 4-year-old and it was ridiculous to expect them to behave perfectly all the time. The camp's standards for behavior were bizarre and unrealistic for young children.If the camp owner had decided that we were not a good fit for the camp, they should have informed us before we started and not waited until they were overbooked and needed to make room for other campers. Their lack of communication and short notice caused extreme inconvenience for our family, as we had to scramble to find another camp for the remaining six weeks.Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this summer camp and would caution anyone considering it to think twice before signing up.

Honestly speaking, working there isn’t really a great experience. The spoiled rich kids made the experience terrible. Pay is good but wouldn’t refer a friend. Food is borderline inedible.

I went there in the Summer of 1982. I still remember the smell of the wood buildings and bright sunny days on that field. The bus came all the way into NJ to pick me up. Good memories.
