1st off I was on a important call with a family remember telling me my cousin was ill with cancer. She had a nasty attitude and I did not slow her down at all she yelled at me and my wife telling us that there was people behind us when there clearly was 2 registers. She was really racist towards us. I was going to purchase more but she was so rude it was so hurtful.

Love this place. Giving it a 4 as their listed hours are incorrect. I went to get wine at 6:15pm on a Sunday and they are closed even though the hours reflect here that they close at 7:00pm on Sundays.

Large selection, good prices, and there's always someone available to help you choose (or locate) the right bottle.

On Saturdays, the store sign says they close at 10 pm. I ran to the store and made it there by 9:55 pm, but they already had the gate fully closed. I flagged down an employee (a spanish bald guy) and told him I still had 5 minutes to buy my two bottles and he became belligerent, nasty, disrespectful and very “thug like” like in his responses to me. I asked for the manager (the indian guy “Mo,” who I thought was the manager) to service a “repeat customer” like myself and he was equally disrespectful and far worse in his responses. Im not there begging for food, Im paying for my service and just because you decide to “close early” so you can “leave early” does not mean you get to be disrespectful to loyal customers who still come to the store within “business hours.” 10 pm closing is 10 pm. Not 9:45, not 9:50 or 9:55. I usually shop at least once a week for my liquor and I have been using this store for years, but the employees wanting to close “early” so they can “leave early” will cost this store a lot of business as Im taking my money somewhere else and Im spreading the word that this behavior cannot be tolerated through false advertising in their store hours. That spanish, light skin, bald guy should be working with inmates not customers as he doesn’t know how to talk to people, and neither does “Mo.” Shame on your employees and your customer service Lowery’s Wine Factory.

You can get Pappy...if you want to pay $1400 for a bottle of 12 yr. Or you could get a bottle of Blanton's for $150 (which might not be bad for some), but if I wanted to overpay...I can get a bottle for $100 nearly any day of the week. Their selection is good, but expect to pay for it.

I and my family have been regular costumers of this establishment for over the 50 years I've been alive. There are few family owned businesses with such a pedigree left in Sunnyside / LIC. Prices are always fair, staff always helpful even when in the midst of the busy times. I feel that they give their best via knowledge of quality or recommending a better choice for my needs especially when I'm feeling overwhelmed having to purchase wine & spirits which I'm not very familiar with.In the era of superstores, online ordering etc, Lowery Liquor is a breath of fresh air & I'll stand by them.

They followed me around the store? I was in there for 6 minutes. The staff follows you and asks if you're okay every 2 minutes. I asked the price of a $169 whiskey after tax and the cashier ignored me and helped someone behind me. This young guy acted like I couldn't afford the whiskey, you don't know me. Relax, and stop stalking your customers.

Take your money elsewhere.I’ve been going to this shop for years but always felt something was off.Recently, I caught one shop workers following me around the store as if I were a shoplifter. 100% racially motivated. Caught the worker in the act.Better selection at neighboring shops. And their customer service is a billion times better.
