I definitely should have read the reviews before ordering... my fault completely for that. I ordered 2 bottles online, and after a week, I got an email saying they were out of the wine. I understand supply and demand these days, so no worries. A week goes by, but no word, so I emailed them, and again, they tell me within the next week it'll be shipped. This happens 3 times, then an order is shipped. I FINALLY get it, and it's so poorly packaged, and half my order is missing. Again, absolutely no communication, so I called. The guy I spoke to was unapologetic and played the blame it on everything else game, refusing to accept their lack of communication was the whole issue. I had to ask for a refund, otherwise, I'm sure they would have kept the payment, as he told me more of that wine would be in stock in the fall....Definitely not worth the whole hassle. Super unprofessional and disappointing.

I ordered an Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Paso Robles (750 ml) from them on Doordash on 5/6/2023 for $70.99. A regular Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon is just about $50 (check Total Wine), but this is 2017 so I was willing to pay the premium. Yet, not only they did not bring me an Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, but they brought me a much cheaper alternative without informing me in advance, an Austin Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles which is just $20. They did this on purpose because they wish people like me wouldn't tell the difference betwen Austin and Austin Hope and just accept it. When I contacted them and they agreed to take the total order ($115, one Austin Hope and another wine) back and give me a refund. Specifically, I was told by the young man that he was just an employee and the manager would call me back for the refund arrangement the next Monday. Later on, he came to pick up the order. Of course, I never received such a call and when I called back, I was directed to Doordash to fix it. The 2nd time I called back, they just hung up on me. Now it is been more than 6 weeks, both they and Doordash just kept delaying the issue and wish I would go away. In total, I paid $115 for NOTHING!!! They are doing business like a SCAM. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! (BTW, they use name Syosset Wine Cellar on Doordash. DO AVOID)

Awful service, terrible experience - avoid at all costs. This place advertises on Vivino but doesn't keep all the wines in stock. After a few days of no progress, I called and was told that they were out of one of the wines and would like to send me a "similar one". I refused and asked that the missing wine will be refunded - that did not happen.I called again 3 days later and was told the wine will arrive "today or tomorrow". It did not. This place essentially hides its reviews via Vivino but, in reality, the service is horrible and your money is better spent elsewhere.

Rude older man at the counter with no manners and doesn’t even attempt to help you find an item. Overpriced bottles and overall terrible place.

They have most, if not all, the best wines from around the world, US, Italy, France, and others. You can sometimes find good bargains on wines and champagnes. When I want a specific favorite wine, I go to Grand Wine Cellar in Syosset.

This place has everything at a reasonable price. Found a lot of hard to find wines there. This will be my go-to spot.

I recently visited this wine store for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of wines and the helpful staff. I ended up finding a few bottles of wine that I've been searching for and at a great price. I'll definitely be returning in the future.

Not the friendliest place. Particularly, the older guy who just takes your money and hands you your change without even a hello or a thank you.

Not a good experience with this vendor.I ordered 6 bottles of wine through Vivino. I also paid additional money to have the bottles packaged with ice packs. They sent the incorrect vintage, but my issue is really with the packaging.NYC is very hot in the summer. They packaged these bottles in a regular cardboard box with absolutely no insulation, and they placed one tiny icepack inside the box. This was an order with multiple layers of wine inside the box, and they placed only one useless ice pack on one of the layers. The ice pack was so small it wouldn't even be useful for the bottle it was directly touching, let alone an entire box. When the 1/2 case arrived the bottles were hot to the touch, and the ice pack was completely dry. The bottles spent the entire day in the back of a UPS truck cooking in hot temperature over 90 degrees. If you're going to charge people additional money for proper packaging you should actually take the time/effort to package the wine in a manner that will keep it safe from the excessive heat.I called the store and asked them why they only used one small ice pack and they said this is what they do for all orders. Absurd and shows they don't remotely care about the quality of product they're shipping. With regard to the vintage, I ordered a 2013 that I can't find anywhere else, but the 2015 vintage of this wine is current and widely available. I assume they don't keep their inventory current, knew they were shipping the incorrect vintage and just didn't communicate this out. Will not be using this vendor again.

Beware. Instead of sitting on the loss for wines that have long past their peak, they're offloading their older vintages at a 50%. Shame on them. (Burgundy 1er cru: 2017 vintage at $71.99 vs 2011 at $39.99)They never commented on my accusations, I asked 3 times.Silence means consent.Oh, on top of that they took a week to process my Vivino order (Other merchants on there usually process same day) and have no idea what customer service is.Hopefully vivino will take them off their platform.

Ordered from them on Drizly as a Christmas gift. I ordered the Four Roses Small Batch Gift Set and was given a regular bottle of Four Roses. So let alone being given a cheaper bottle of whiskey, I'm also now missing out on the additional items included in the set. Just perfect timing to have none of this resolved before I have to leave the state to go home. Thanks Syosset Wine Cellar for the subpar service

Very unfriendly staff. Overpriced wine. Also, they had coupons in the flip book, at first refused to honor their own coupons, and then lied about it being a "misprint" so they wouldn't honor the $10 off two bottles, and insisted they'd only do 10%. Complete bull and a waste of time. Go to total wine or post instead and save yourself the headache.
