The manager ( Paula ) was very rude, aggressive, immature and disrespectful towards me when I expressed feeling unwelcome in the store from their behavior. The manager put her hand in my face, shook her head, no longer handled the situation properly and walked away to the back room of the store. If the company thinks this is the standard and that should be okay to do to ANYBODY is beyond unwell. To be unwelcome even though I was an adult who mind you was going to make a purchase.. I am sad that I wasn’t able to get my item, however I will not be spending my money or time in a location that will belittle me and act that way towards me. I seriously hope customer service will take action and discipline her and resolve this matter. The was she was immediately hostile towards me speaks volumes that this is not her first encounter and that her behavior is rotten to the core. There seems to be no hope for this individual, however maybe there is some left for the company to act accordingly.

I walked out with a smile thanks to the brilliant service this build a bear workshop provided me with. I had Maddie handle me most of the way through and she was awesome sauce thank you!

I just came home from bab and I am VERY highly satisfied by your employee named Maddie. Your coupons were not working and they went above and beyond and great customer service! I work in customer service and I know a star cashier when I see one! Great work Maddie! Keep up the good work!

After ordering a teddy bear with a voice recorded message online I was left more than disappointed. The bear itself was good but the recording was so far less than par, it was simply unacceptable. I called the syracuse ny store and the lady who I talked to was more than happy to help! She made sure that I still had the recording and told us to bring the bear into the store and they would make it the best they could. I explained this bear was for a little girl under 1 who just lost her daddy and the voice that was to be recorded was his. We brought the bear and the message to the store and the employee who helped was great! She listened to the recording first put in the bear and agreed it was totally unacceptable, she then took the recorded message and made 2 recordings even went into a quiet hallway to get the best recording. After she was done his voice is clear and no longer sounding like an alien. Thank you to the employees in syrscuse NY for making a precious lifelong memory for a special little girl!

Paula was an absolute dream to work with! She was so incredible to my niece who was beyond excited to make her first ever Build-A-Bear. She left an amazing impression on me and my niece, and we will definitely be returning customers! Thank you Paula for going above and beyond to make a lifelong memory for my niece!

I visited this location last Monday for my daughter's birthday. We aren't local, and had never previously been to this location.
The folks working were not only friendly and helpful, but also extremely patient with my distracted, tired 3 year old. She did not want to cooperate in the slightest, but the staff members were so kind, and let her take the time she needed.
My daughter loves her new bear and frog, and she wore her sticker and crown (that she refused to put on there) the next two days.

Stopped by this afternoon for our son's first time at Build a Bear and I gotta say, the staff we encountered were extremely off-putting and rude. Energy seemed way off in the store, even for a slow weekday afternoon. Definitely has made us think twice about coming back, sadly.
