I want to start off by saying Rosie is a lovely stylist and the atmosphere of Element of Water is really great, but if you are looking for an alternative hairstyle/cut, I do not recommend Rosie for your stylist. Rosie is really attentive to your hair’s needs and gave me really helpful suggestions about my hair care. She is a lovely stylist for someone looking for a regular style, but needs to be open to constructive criticism to master an alternative look. It may come with experience, but I asked for a shag/wolf cut and the hair cut I received was a trim with some curtain bangs. Another stylist was assisting Rosie, as it was her first cut of this kind, which is fine, but the one stylist did one side and Rosie did the other and they did not match. After asking her to cut the bangs shorter, she made me feel like I was insulting her work when simply it did not look like what I had asked. I ended up paying $90 for a cut that looks great but I have length that I was hoping to get shaped more and was afraid to have her cut more off is she is afraid to cut it herself and asking another stylist for help. Next time, I will do more research for the stylist or go with the woman who was assisting Rosie.

Element on Water handled the hair and make-up services for my wedding party in September, and they did a wonderful job! As a curly-haired girl, I appreciated working with Ann Marie--a curly-hair specialist. She was able to transform my vision perfectly. Hannah and Mary did make-up for our group, and they both did a wonderful job. Everyone looked beautiful!

Top tier talent and professionalism! I was overjoyed with the ladies from Element who did hair for my wedding back in June. We specifically had Erica and Kimberly, they were the best! Erica exceeded my expectations with my updo. I also appreciated Kimberly offering to touch up my father's hair as they were wrapping up for the morning. Thank you so much ladies!!

Had a great experience with the stylists from Element at my wedding! They were incredibly professional, accommodating, and listened to each member of the bridal party for how they wanted to look. Everyone looked amazing and the guests could not stop complimenting the hair and makeup. Working with the bridal coordinator made the booking process easy and efficient. Would always recommend for anyone's special day!

As soon as you walk through the doors you’re made to feel welcome with the calm but also cool setting and the stylists checking in with smiles! Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable in their art. You leave element with more than a new look, you’re also filled with positives vibes!

I have been several times for both a curly haircut and pintura/balayage. My last cut was in fall 2023 and I have not gotten around to setting up an appointment until spring 2024. I scheduled an appointment with Annemarie two months before the day and rearranged my calendar (my husband even took the day off) so I can be there. I have kids and my husband and I are the only childcare they have.
I get a call about two weeks before my appointment and it’s her attempting to change my appointment to another day. If I wanted to change it to another day I wouldn’t have chosen the day I originally scheduled. I tried calling her back, get the message that says error calling the number. Tried different devices and even tried on my laptop. She left me a message; so must have been important? Well, I tried for 3 days to call her back and it kept giving me this message, so I assumed they were having issues with their phone lines and I’m sure she’d call me back. A week passes and she calls again. She said she needs to reschedule me because she ‘badly’ needed a vacation.
Maybe she should have thought about her badly needed vacation and not have that day available in her online calendar system. She tried to pin it on me by saying that she called me the week prior but I never called back. NO. It’s not my fault their phone systems were having issues. She admitted their systems were going through some change.
I was looking forward to my appointment, finally getting around to a haircut that I ‘badly’ needed. A week before my scheduled appointment, I’m scrambling to find someone else to take me in last minute. Of course no one is available because it was now merely days before a holiday.
The audacity to do that. I can’t even put in words. I was completely speechless after that call. I’ve lost respect for them.
I only stuck with her because they are easy to schedule online, and I knew what to expect from her, which isn’t much. My hair just looks… okay after a haircut but she does great balayage. She didn’t even give me tips on hair management probably because she doesn’t have any tips on biracial hair like mine.
Needless to say, I will not return to this salon. While they have all been nice in person and friendly, this interaction was the straw that broke the camels back.
I would reconsider this salon if you have 3A/B or higher hair texture.
Two stars because the salon is clean & mostly bright.

I went to Syracuse to visit some family and decided to get a trim so i came to this salon and it was the best experience ever!! My stylist Kimberli, recommended I did face framing layers and to thin my hair out and I would say that was the best recommendation ever!! Perfect for the summer since I live in FL. Very knowledgeable and friendly!
I wish I could bring her home with me! :)

this was my first time coming to this salon and it was beautiful inside and I really had high hopes. I was coming in for a consultation for extensions for my wedding this summer. Up until this point I had great communication with somebody named Beth who was really responsive to emails and helpful in answering questions. The stylist seemed friendly until she started evaluating my hair. She mentioned that it did not look like I washed it that morning like I said I did. She told me it looked greasy. I really didn't have a problem with the comment until she kept bringing it up to the point where I started to feel uncomfortable and like she was judging me. I felt like she couldn't get past it, and it wasn't relevant to the appointment at all. After a couple days of not being able to forget about this interaction, I cancelled my bridal appointments with this salon as I was worried that I could potentially feel humiliated on my wedding day as well.

I left here today with the upmost gratitude for Jessica and the shop owner. I took my girls there for their first haircut ages five and almost 6. They were so welcoming and the shop owner even helped entertain the girls while I got my haircut. My oldest was feeling a little unwell and she helped ease her discomfort. My youngest broke one of her toys and the shop owner glued it back together for her. Jessica was efficient and caring for my girls. Thank you for helping me make beautiful memories with my girls.

I got a curly/wavy cut wash and style, back in January, I didn’t like the way she styled it but overall the cut was cute however my stylist spent a good amount of time taking before and after pictures, she said she would send me the pictures sometime soon and it has been over a month and I haven’t gotten my pictures. For the price I paid to get an okay hair cut and not even receive pictures I would never come back

I am thrilled with my highlight and cut from Rosie! The only directions I provided were that I wanted a low-maintenance color to blend in my “grays” and brighten up my boring blonde hair and a shorter cut that I could still pull up into a ponytail. From there she worked a miracle!! The color is gorgeous- she patiently selected pieces to highlight that would be most the flattering. My cut is the perfect length with face framing layers and bounce. I’m so glad I met Rosie and trusted her ideas! I had a fun Saturday afternoon and left feeling great about myself. The salon itself was so lovely too- everyone was smiling and welcoming. Drinks and snacks were offered and all of the stylists would pipe in and chat with the guests. I will definitely be back to see Rosie!!
