Its unfortunate that I have to end my business with the Clinic after 13yrs of Dr. Dodge taken care of my pet since he was a baby. However, I will not be disrespected by his front staff hanging up on me twice how unprofessional and its tolerated so my dog will be going someone else because of it. DR Dodge is an excellent Veterinarian and we will miss his care but I wont tolerate unprofessionalism and rudeness with customer service being his front line of his establishment and its tolerated. There's an old saying " The Customer is always right"

The communication when they have your pet is so unreal. The nurse who bought my dog back out to me was argumentative when I had questions about what went on with my dog

Dr Dodge is very reasonable as far as pricing. He's the best one in town and has been around forever. He loves my dog and takes good care of her. EVEN when he's booked to the extreme he makes time to see my baby when she's sick. He's just amazing! I know hes secured his spot in heaven.

The doctors here are great…but whoever is running the front desk is crazy unprofessional and super rude. I’ve had multiple appointments scheduled incorrectly and then treated poorly when I show up for said appointments. Will be told a certain time and then when arriving told “we don’t do (whatever procedure) at those times we wouldn’t have told you that time” I’ve also had other people tell me they’ve experienced this same issue here. They need a new receptionist/front desk person asap!

I feel horrible even having to write this. I have a small business and I know that word of mouth can make or break you. Dr. Dodge and his staff USED to be amazing. When I tried to make an emergency appt for my pet they told me they were booked out several weeks. When I inquired as to any way they could help my pet they basically told me to call another vet if I wasn't happy with the answer I was getting. All with a dismissive attitude. I know how hard it is to run a business, but when you treat your customers the way I was just treated, it tells me you don't care about the business you are running. Especially when it comes to people and their pets. If your "nasty" staff is more important than the animals, you shouldn't be in business. So, not only will I leave this negative review, I will tell everyone I know to do the same. I'm even thinking of hanging a BIG sign in my store telling every customer I wait on to NOT GO to Town & Country. Horrible vet. I look forward to seeing that building vacant one day. Not how you run a business.

This used to be a good vet clinic, but it has gone downhill fast. Dr. Dodge used to be great, but he now is very old and forgetful. He honestly needs to retire and it is frustrating that he won’t.
Furthermore, I am blaming them, and especially Dr. Dodge, directly for my family’s beloved cat, Maxwell, passing away. He died from cancer, which likely started in his GI somewhere (he was having issues keeping down food). When my parents took Maxwell to Town and Country, Dr. Dodge claimed that it was Maxwell’s teeth that were the issue and that he needed some teeth extracted. This is after he acted very forgetful throughout the appointment as to why Maxwell was there in the first place.
My parents were disappointed, and concerned Dr. Dodge in the state he was in could not successfully do the teeth extraction, so they switched vets to Stack on Onondaga Hill (I highly recommend them, they were amazing). It was at Stack where the vet suggested doing an ultrasound, which caught the cancer. Unfortunately, by that point it had spread so thoroughly that the poor kitty only had a matter of a few months to live. Stack was also the vet that, when the time came and Maxwell was in clear pain and not eating anymore, humanly euthanized him.
Town and Country, and especially Dr. Dodge, had a clear opportunity to catch this cancer in earlier stages when it was treatable. But Dr. Dodge is not the vet he used to be anymore, and a cat is dead too soon because of it. If a new, younger vet takes Dr. Dodge’s place, Town and Country may improve. But as long as Dr. Dodge is practicing there, I’d avoid taking pets to this vet.

I tried to take my pet in because he is sick. He has a cold he gets seasonally. They told me they were backed up in appt and could not see my pet for 2 weeks. I asked if they could provide some of the pills they gave him the last time just to get him through to that appt. They flat out refused, saying it's their policy to not prescribe medicine for a pet they haven't seen in a year. When I pointed out that it was "just short" of a year since they saw him, the person acted annoyed that I'd pointed that out to them and told me if I didn't like what she was telling me I should call another vet. Thank you, I think I will. This place used to be great. Dr. Dodge really seemed to care about the animals. Has gone way down in customer service over the years. Plus it looks like crap. Seems like it's on its way out. They certainly act that way. I will tell EVERYONE I know NOT to waste their time going here.
