The person that came this time was great. But two other times we had someone scheduled and they never showed up. Calling in was terrible. On hold for over a half hour, and never got answered. We have a contract and never was able to get service this whole year. This person finally did the inspection but couldn’t do any work. We knew we had bats again- now we’re scheduled for service next spring. Very frustrating.

I love the guys Orkin sends out. Although, it would be nice if it was always the same person ...I initially called due to yellow jackets that had chewed through my brand new sheet rock ceiling.They ask and listen to any and all pest issues we have, (We live in an OLD farmhouse with domestic critters) and address them quickly.May seem expensive, but in reality, short of turning the house into a new 'Mousetrap' movie its well worth the few dollars a month.

I’m noticing that they’re not responding at all to unsatisfied customers in these reviews. A guy came spayed one can and was in and out in 5 minutes and said we should see a big difference in 24 hours. That was a lie. That was 10/06. They can’t be reached after they take your $500 down payment and they haven’t come back out. They said they’ll be back out in 2 weeks. There needs to be a class action suit against this place for fraud and bait and switch. Most of these reviews are more than likely fake and we’re reporting to the BBB. Don’t purchase from this Ponzi scam

The Orkin technician was punctual, polite and listened attentively. He gathered the information I had and quickly identified my bee as a bumble bee (not a carpenter bee as I dreaded). We surmised these bees were getting in on the wall where a mason had removed some bricks. However, due to the number of bees I reported, he wanted to take a good look all around the house. Guess what, 4/5 of the way around, right next to the foundation, but IN THE GROUND, he observed a lot of activity behind a garden. I had looked around the house previously, but with his trained eye he knew what to look for. I hated killing pollinators, but Joey explained that the queen would live through the winter and the nest would be active all over again in the spring. He treated the opening to the ground nest with a dust. Then, for good measure, he treated it with a spray. He explained that I might see activity for up to 8-10 days. But, he would come back & treat it again if i continued to see activity past 10 days. I was VERY satisfied with Joey’s professional mannerism and his knowledge of the topic of bees.Service: Bee extermination

Rental property was infested with cockroaches. The service was performed when the property was empty and quickly eliminated the issue. Monthly reinspection will continue for a few more months with new tenants. Several areas where bee's had nests took 2 visits but have been eliminated including an area in the ground. I liked that the service contract includes response if an issue occurs which it did with the bees.Services: General pest inspection

I have two places around my house that have wasp nests. I called Orkin to come and get rid of it because there were a lot of them swimming around. They charged my card $375 the day I called for this service. One guy came over, spent 15 minutes around my house, and left. For one of the nests, he actually needed a ladder, because it was high, but I had never seen him with a ladder. He said he took care of it, and that it would take two or three days for them to disappear. Well, a few days went by and the wasps were still there. We called them again, and they didn't show up. I made 2 appointments for them to come again, and they didn't show up. We kept calling and calling and finally another guy showed up and said he took care of it. It's been two months, and we still have wasps around the house. They give you a 30-day guarantee, but with us calling and calling and not showing up for the appointments, 30 days have gone by already. We still have wasps problems. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! SCAMMERS!

Orkin used to be great but in the last year they no longer answer calls, take a week to call you back, and skip service calls but mark them complete. I cancelled service months ago and they still have me in their system.Services: Spider extermination

Unhappy. Paid for 1 year up front, then on month 5 got an unsolicited charge on my credit card. Wife called and told them our contract was prepaid for 1 year. They said it was a mistake and should have been $400 more and they conveniently "don't have the contract, but if you don't want to pay then we can cancel your account"- then hung up. Well, I have a copy, but nobody will return my calls. Just want what we agreed to, and I paid for.Services: Bug & insect extermination

I called Orkin after another area pest company did not get rid of a large yellow jacket problem in the wall of my house despite three treatments. The technician Orkin sent out, Riley, was professional, knowledgeable and personable. He treated the issue much more thoroughly than the other pest company with better equipment. I have not seen any yellow jacket activity in the past couple of days.Services: Hornet & wasp extermination

The technician was awesome! On time, so knowledgeable and informative, courteous, etc. However, the office coordination was horrible. I called the office daily this week because I was originally scheduled for Monday but they didn't show. Rescheduled everyday except for Friday then for today. I wasted so much of my vacation time this week.Services: Spider extermination

I liked the mosquito spray and it did a great job keeping them under control but the Orkin employee that I got the past couple months has come to do the service and has not notified us beforehand that he was coming. When we did get notified, we ended up having to cancel and reschedule because of not being available and even though we rescheduled and he was notified or the reschedule, he still showed up at the house on the day that we canceled on. This is not good service especially when you cancel for that day and he still comes and says that he would like to do the service. Also the customer service could be a little better as well.

I could not have imagined better service. One phone call to Orkin scheduled me for an in-person evaluation of my problem. Jeffie took his time looking over the house and premises and answered all questions. What he proposed was fair and never pushy. Grateful for that. When the time came to have the service completed, it was done in a couple of days and very efficiently. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and courteous. Well done! Apon first contact with this company. They've been extremely professional and courteous explaining their products and their knowledge with our issues around our house. Not being able to get the professional employee that would be our regular person to service our needs. They did get another service member of their team to cover so we weren't waiting another week to service our needs.Then on our next scheduled service we were greeted with our regular professional service member who would be taking care of us on our regular scheduled times. Ryley Mingus. Who is outstanding professional and genuinely interested in our needs and caring about his customers. He takes our needs personally his mission to be sure we're satisfied with HIS workmanship and the COMPANY he's representing ability to make sure everything is going well for us.We're very pleased with Ryleys genuinely great service to be sure we're satisfied with him and Orkin. I have no idea what the quality of the service is but here's my story. I called on Monday afternoon to inquire about services to eliminate a wasp nest that I was unable to eliminate myself. The scheduler was pleasant and we set up a date and time for the next morning at 8:00am. The morning came and it got to be almost 9:00 and no one showed up. I called Orkin and the person I got said "Oh, we don't have anyone available in your area until Saturday.", after I had rearranged my schedule to be ready. They knew they were not coming and never called me. I'm not sure if this is a communication issue between main office and satellite offices, but it is not an innocent mistake as their process seems to be set up for this to happen. You think to yourself that if I call the name brand you'd get the service you expected. Wrong! My mistake was not supporting a local company. Won't make that mistake again.
