We went to the Cicero/Clay location in early July for a couch for our new home. We found a sectional we liked and the saleswoman told us she recommended to get the 2 seater sectional, even though we told her we wanted the 3 seater version. She then told us to order the 2 seater version and that if we did not like it, then we could call her to order an "extra seat" for the sectional. Well when the sectional was delivered a week later it was too small for our space and we went in person to order an extra seat for it as she instructed. She was not at work, but we spoke with the manager, Ben. Ben informed us that what she told us was incorrect and that they don't sell extra seats for sectionals and that we'd have to return our whole sectional and order a whole new one-if we wanted the 3 seat version. We were about to walk out and do so until he called us over again. This time Ben informed us that they can instead order us the 3 seated part of the sectional and have it delivered to us and he would let the saleswoman (who we initially worked with know and talk with her about the misinformation). A few weeks passed and we heard nothing about our order. We went back into the store and she was there but failed to recognize us. We informed her of what she had told us when she went to sell us the couch. She played it off as if she didn't remember it until she looked us up in her system and we were about to walk out. She then said Ben had never informed her and no one had told her any of the issues and that if they had-she would've called us right away about the new order. The new order was placed in July right when we got the original delivered. Every month we've called about it. At first they said it's in Canada and would be delivered each month. But each month they change their answers. It's now January and we still don't have our order and now they're saying it's coming from overseas. Now my husband will be calling again to ask for another update. This place is horrible.

This review has two parts. Delivery and support. 5 star support from Donna the delivery manager. 1 star for the execution of delivery as promised by dicing floor people. In short, I came with my friend to get 7 items he bought. 6 of 7 were ready. The seventh, headboard was broken, and it needed fixing/replacement and the delivery floor person PROMISED a Tuesday delievery. We called on Thursday to find out no one knew about it yet it was marked in paperwork. Then my friend got a salesman who told him it was scheduled for deliver end of month! Another fake narrative from a salesperson. So I called and got Donna. She made everything right a delievery is happening. Two days late but I'm sure she knew nothing about it but made it happen! Praise to Donna and thank you for taking ACTION!

Very poor customer service. Took over a year to receive furniture ordered. Each month had to call and ask about furniture and was told it was going to be made and then no furniture. They never tried to solve the problem or offer any type of solution.

Due to circumstances, I had to order an item on line. Everyone from the various online salespeople to the delivery guys were very friendly and accommodating. They were knowledgeable in their particular areas and tried to assist me. Understanding that we are going through trying times with worldwide delivery, I appreciated most of the personnel that I dealt with who looked into trying to make the process easier.Unfortunately, the woman who identified herself as the "e-commerce.... Blah blah blah" was difficult to deal with. I had 3 different occasions to speak with her and was quite insulted by her pompous attitude and very poor customer service skills. We are all experiencing difficulty in these times but I suggest sending her through a course in how to deal with the public. Your customer. While I am likely going to purchase new living room furniture later this year, it won't be from you. I don't need to pay anyone to insult me.I gave you two stars because of everyone and everything except her...

The quality of the furniture we selected is great, and the delivery men that helped us were incredible.However, it was not made clear to us when we purchased our furniture that Dunk and Bright would not contact us whatsoever. I had to call for all status updates, even when finding out our furniture was delayed. I brought this to the attention of the person who sold us our furniture, Grace, who told us that they "do not track everyone's shipments because there are too many" but are willing to look it up if a customer calls and asks about it. It's sad that a furniture store that large doesn't employ someone to notify customers how their shipments are is doing - especially when we were spending $6,000. As someone with extensive customer service experience, I find that very disappointing.

Update: they asked me for my Info like they were going to help me and never responded to my email. Then today when I called as I was told 9/19/21 I was told it has now been pushed to ship in October. When I asked how this could be it said it was in stock back in July when I order it all I get is well it is the manufacturer not us. Great customer service. First and last time I will be shopping here.

I purchased three beautiful tall wood bookcases to replace the cheap pine and cardboard shelves I had. The sales associate was so friendly and professional in assisting me with my purchase. The bookcases were delivered today on time as promised. The delivery people were so professional and friendly in setting up my new bookcases and putting the shelves in place. I enjoyed my whole experience with Duncan Bright from shopping at their beautiful store, selecting my new furniture to having the professional delivery people set up my new book cases. Also the price was great! I definitely recommend buying your new furniture from Duncan Bright.

Update: Updating my review because Dunk and Bright did ultimately replace the damaged dresser which was much appreciated. The initial replacement that was sent was also damaged but just cosmetically so I kept it and they promised to replace it with a new one. It took a long time which I presume is due to the pandemic but they did follow through... better late than never! Would try here again for future furniture needs.
