Thankfully, Steve and Andrew sent me the right link… so here I am, breaking my own “no screens” rule.
Quick note for clarity:
This review is from Jessica Bernard. I’m using my mom’s account because I don’t use a cell phone and haven’t for months (maybe longer), so sometimes I forget to double-check where I’m posting from.
Also—important correction—
it was my grandmother who passed away at 98, not my mom’s.
Which brings me to why this place matters so much.
When my grandmother passed, I suddenly had 98 years’ worth of life to sort through and store. That turned into me renting three units at Extra Space Storage in Westwood… so yes, it’s basically become my second home.
And the reason that hasn’t been completely overwhelming is because of Andrew and Steve.
They run that place in a way that feels rare now:
they’re smart, kind, organized, and genuinely helpful.
When you’re dealing with something emotional and logistically exhausting, having people like that around—people you actually like seeing when you walk in—matters more than you’d think.
Also, small but real point:
In a world that keeps trying to replace people with bots and automation (which, let’s be honest, gets hacked or breaks half the time)…
we still need real humans who know what they’re doing.
Andrew and Steve are those people.
And apparently, they’re also the reason I’m now writing reviews on multiple platforms—despite actively trying not to be on screens.

“I have used the Nanuet, NY location of Extra Storage Space twice in the last couple years and both times have been amazing and beyond my expectations. They clean the units before you use them. It’s a simple contactless set up and close as well. I will always use extra storage space for any storage needs in the future!”
“At the office the staff are very nice,they greet u with a smile,but I have a problem with the raising of the storage price,I have a 5×10 for just 1 year and couple months and it has been three times now,that my storage price went up,from $145 to $247 and late fee is not included, this is so unfear¹for March I pay$213,April $$226,late fee included,May it's $247 and late fee is not include,the owners need to have a heart,is that what u do when u want customer to give up the storage?The facility is very clean i agree,workers are very nice,I agree,but the owners need to do better.”

“Fast, fast, fast!!! These folks were great! Compared to national outfits, there is no comparison. From the time I dialed them until I hung up it took about 2-3 minutes. The container was there the next day. The national brands are WAY too slow, cumbersome and not friendly. Judy and her team were like talking to a neighbor, because they kind of are. “This CubeSmart is pretty rad. Juanita P. impressed me the moment I walked through the door. A family was at the desk, and she seemed genuinely invested in helping them with their problem. When they left, she greeted me and started setting me up my new storage unit. She made me feel very welcome!
She gave me a lot of information that was super helpful with planning my move in. She explained the layout and numbering system of the units so I wouldn’t get lost. Overall, she made me feel reassured about storing things here. It’s clear she cares about doing a good job and looking out for the community.
While good customer service is part of running a successful business, on the customer end, sometimes it can be more than that. I had to put my things in storage for traumatic reasons so the way Juanita made this process so easy with thorough explanations really meant a lot to me! CubeSmart needs to give her a raise and recognizes her skills and talents!”
