I’m not sure what actually goes on here, but the place smells like cigarettes and the two people working there are fascinatingly insane. I’m not sure it’s a real business. Odd, strange and outdated.

What a wonderful local business! I had a few bad experiences with jewelers in Manhattan, but I feel really lucky to live near this place. I have only gotten some small repairs done and a new watch strap, but they were all reasonably priced and performed with a friendly charm. I have not bought any jewelry here, but maybe someday! The owner is easy to talk to and open about pricing, time, options, etc. A real breath of fresh air. For those who need immediate service on their own schedule with no regard whatsoever for the person giving it to them, may I suggest Amazon?

These other reviews are either friends of the owners or just throwing around money to the point that there's no issue. My experience here flat out sucked.Came in one afternoon to get a necklace fixed. My 2 year old broke the bail connecting the pendant to it, which is either a quick repair or replacement of the bail. This isn't the first time my son has done this, and I typically wait 30min at most while a jeweler fixes it for ~$20. No big deal. Nobody was out front despite there being tools and jewelry sitting on the counter, but I heard a guy in the back on the phone with someone so I waited it out. 15min later, this guy was still on the phone loudly cursing and reliving his glory days in the 60's. Tried yelling to get his attention to no avail, so eventually just banged one of the instruments strewn on the counter on a piece of metal to get him out there. I had my wife and kids waiting in the car and thus couldn't afford to wait and listen any longer. Keep in mind I am in a jewelry store by myself with merchandise sitting on the counter (LOL).Explained what I needed, and upon reply the jeweler clearly didn't listen to a damned thing I said. First he wanted me to leave it with no explanation, then he talked about going somewhere special to get a new bail, and then talked through how complicated this very simple task was and hard it would be to fix. He then asked me if I wanted to spend $50. My answer was of course no, seeing as the whole necklace cost ~$100 and that would've be 2x what I've ever paid. His response then was to push me back the necklace and say that he "couldn't do anything for less than $50". $50 for what exactly, getting off his butt? Because he wanted to try and gouge for probably one of the simplest things you could ask a jeweler to do? F*** that. He was incredulous.If you can't handle simple things like this, why would I ever spend real money with you? What a pompous, out of touch and stupid response. Not sure if I dealt with an owner or not, but who ever it was needs to retire if he can't handle simple customer requests in between talking to his 'friends'.

Cannot possibly say enough praise to this shop!New to town, and I stopped in to help revive a watch that I'd tried to swap the battery on myself, that I wanted to wear to my wedding this weekend.The man behind the counter (I should've gotten his name, but forgot!) who I assume is the owner threw a new battery in, set the date and time, and then closed the watch case, which I hadn't been able to do myself over the last few years... and then when I pulled out my wallet, said "don't worry about it" and smiled.This small gesture of kindness absolutely blew my mind, and left such a positive, awesome note for me about this business, especially since it was my first experience.Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I cannot say enough about this place! They have so many eclectic inventory, and the Gentleman that’s runs the shop is so personable. Asks the right questions, and really takes the time with you when you’re looking for special things. Definitely go see Michael. He’s super straight if you have old pieces you need re-done~from estate jewelry to loose pieces, he has you covered.Definitely don’t miss this small shop.

I started coming here for him to fix cheap watch batteries when I was a kid, then as an adult would purchase beautiful staple pieces I could afford. Since then, after building my business and brand, I've purchased my annual "anniversary" gifts to myself and cannot say how lovely and courteous they are! Taking the time and being a hometown Jewler is amazing. So fortunate to have been complimented on the jewelry I have purchased. Today I picked up my new vintage ring! From the moment it was on my finger, I new she was mine! Thank you so much, for making a "girls" 9 yr I'm biz dreams come true!

This is a fantastic jewelry store with great prices and a wonderful staff. My wife and I took our baby girl to get her ears pierced which as new parents is scary is of itself. The owner took his time, marked her ears and placed the earrings in her ease with great patience. We inquired about other pieces of jewelry for ourselves and were given a great amount of options. Thank you Holston for making us feel welcomed and getting great pair of earrings in our baby girl's ears.

It's madness that the single review for this terrific little shop is one-star rant, written because the reviewer found it closed when he thought it should be open. This is an excellent local business with a finely curated collection and a friendly, helpful staff.

I came in recently with a ring that was two sizes too big and they sized it down beautifully for me, with no signs of tampering or scratches. Very friendly owners and great shop! Would recommend!
