The owner was very sweet and helpful. I love my skull scarf. The other items were awesome and unique. This shop just happens to be next to what was the art gallery on the HBO project "Divorce" with Sarah Jessica Parker. I only knew about this little shop because my son did locations for the same project. Go in and browse as there's something for everyone.

Shaylula Jewelry and Gifts is that rarest of things in Westchester County - a jewelry and gift shop with an extraordinary selection of well curated things matched with an equally extraordinary owner/advisor/cheerleader. Colleen Goudie radiates knowledge, enthusiasm, and great good humor, and shopping with her is one of the nonpareil pleasures of every gift giving season. ShayLuLa in smack dab in the center of the lately revitalized Tarrytown. In the last few years Tarrytown itself has become a shopping, dining, and entertainment mecca (the remarkable Tarrytown Music Hall is steps from Colleen's shop) and you owe it to yourself to make the trip

Purchased a necklace 14 ct gold designer. wore it once 3 days after purchase and the necklace tarnished. At the price paid and 14ct gold one would not expect it to ever tarnish. Thinking it was of poor quality we wanted to return it. We re told it is just tarnished, ah my wedding band 40yrs old ahs never tarnished was the reply. Well she charged a 15% restock fee or said I could not return it. Colleen decided to raise her voice and that's when I took her offer rather than fight a bull in a jewelry store. Now there are no signs, nothing on the receipt about returns, exchanges, etc. I called when I got home and she accused me of a scam. I would stay clear of this store even when I have been asking people to shop local given the COVID 19 shutdown.

No worse feeling than being scammed. We were away for the weekend with friends and my wife fell in love with an "Estate Ring." She calls me to take a look and the salesperson tells me "it appraises for $4,000." That certainly was a huge red flag, selling something for $1,000.00 when it's worth $4,000.00. My wife loved the ring so I told her to buy it. I did a little research online and found out the ring was worth more like $300-400. My wife brought it to a local jeweler and they said it was worth around $300. Buyer beware here!!!

I was whole heartedly welcomed each time I went in on my trip. Got some nice gifts of soaps and candle. All the fashion and jewelry are superb; sadly, I had no reason to purchase any. Felt like I was a celebrity when there.
