This is our go-to shopping store and we have been very happy for a while... the staff works hard in general and especially through the pandemic to stay stocked and organized... while not as fancy or shiny as some of the other options it is a comfortable and positive experience each time... the new shopping carts were good and once they replaced the old freezers that really made a big difference.

Picked up a package of shredded potatoes for my weekend breakfast yesterday. Yesterday was July 12, the expiration date on the package was June 15!! Gave it to a store employee and it seemed like he was mad I was wasting his time. I had been liking the store but now I have to question every purchase.

Returned 5/1/19 Not only is there only one cashier and a big line. They do not even have milk in the store. Acme ruined a good market. They are failing miserably. I can not wait for them to close. So a reputable market can open.

My wife wanted to order a birthday cake from this ACME market for my daughters birthday. Today at 1 pm , the bakery employee said he could NOT make a cake in 24+ hours for next day afternoon pickup. She walked to Artuso's who gladly took the order for the next day and asked what time she wanted to pick up the cake.

I seriously seriously seriously think the manager should be fired and any other morons that think they are in charge, come in here with hundreds of people only two registers open express, and one where I have to pack $200 worth of my own stuff because the air head cashier looking at me having conversations instead of paying attention to the customers I don't get it And the meat selections are horrible they should do is hire a butcher since there is an one back there thank God for ShopRite

Terrible supermarket, store is always dirty, the food is always expired, employees are extremely rude and very unhelpful. The food is also way overpriced and definitely not worth it, you're honestly better off going to shoprite for your weekly shopping, you'll save a lot more money and get better produce. Also, the adult men working there are typically perverted towards the female minors working, know a few young females who have worked there and have had their own experiences. Just all around a terrible store, I definitely will not be shopping their anytime soon.

This grocery store is better than ShopRite it's never crowded and you'll have no problem finding a parking spot. They don't run food propaganda compared to ShopRite and it's more comfortable to shop for groceries. It's in and out and a great experience. You'll always find your favorite snack in this store. They also have a great selection of good food available. ShopRite is Goliath and ACME is David. ACME is a better place to shop for groceries in the Thornwood, NY area.

Tried to get salmon two nights in a row. Yesterday they were shutting down meat department before 7pm- . Putting everything in the show case away , everything was put away except the one box the worker was working on. I asked the cashier what time meat department closes and she had no idea. Today I went and nobody was there behind the counter! No pre packed salmon. Nothing. So I left and I'll go to Stew Leonard's where customer service is awesome selection is great. Or just go to the super stop and shop in Elmsford where they have everything and someone is always behind the counter and always nice and ready and willing to above and beyond to help even if not in their department. Not a fan of shop rite down the street. Unfortunately this town doesn't seen to have that great of grocery stores even though there are two! Oh well.

I have been shopping at this location for 33 years.Since they opened as Acme the business has gone downhill. Everyone left to shop at Shop rite down the rd. I tried to stay loyal but I am tired of 1 cashier being open and 6 employees in front that do nothing. And having to wait 20 mins. I am leaving for Shop Rite with everyone else.

I had frequented this grocery store for years when it was A&P. When ACME took ahold of it, there wasn't much difference in product so I didn't mind. Until now, that is. They recently overhauled the entire supermarket and they don't sell basic things that you would find in most supermarkets. I needed sweet Italian sausage and they only sold hot. I needed PAM's baking spray and they only had the olive oil. I needed thinly cut chicken breast and they really took that to heart. I had 2 chicken breast pieces that I had to throw away because it was sliced like prosciutto. Moral of the story, my family and many of my friends have decided to abandon ACME and start shopping at the Shoprite down the road.

They barely staff the place. In line for 20 minutes with only one register open. Over priced and could do with a severe cleaning.

SCAM ADVERTISING! Advertises practically everything in circular BOGO free, but no price listed; get into store and item display ads say same thing: BOGO - but No Price Anywhere! OBVIOUSLY they think we're stupid enough to fall for the old " Double the Price and Offer One Free deal! I left empty-handed and went to Shop Rite!
