When I moved here, I was pleased with this store, but this recent remodel has me wishing I lived somewhere else! With no fabric store within 50 miles, they took out most of the fabric, leaving a few remnants and the rest prepackaged yards. They no longer carry fleece, and they don't even carry felt squares. Many other items I used to buy have been removed from the store as well, so finding what I am looking for has become much more difficult across the board. PS - the staff has been doing their best, I'm sure they have been receiving a lot of complaints like mine. I surely hope things improve when this is all over!

I stopped in late on a Monday evening to get a cable for my computer. There were only a few customers in the building along with several employees, some of whom were buffing the floors. Like all other Wal-Marts, customer service is severely lacking. I was having difficulty finding the part that I needed. There were two employees working the registers in the electronics department, but they were so engrossed in having fun and laughing, they couldn't be bothered to come over and see if I needed assistance. I eventually found what I needed and went up. The self-checkout was fast and simple. There was also an employee overseeing the self-checkout lane. The shelves were all fully stocked and organized. The building was clean, the floors were immaculate, and the outside grounds were also clean. This was quite surprising to find for the end of winter in an area with a decent amount of snow and mud.

For what it is, a discount chain, it's fine but dont expect anything unique. Prices are great but you get what you pay for. Exception would be their prime steaks are the best you'll get for miles. It's just a shame its driven away so many other businesses in the vicinity.

On one level I appreciate Walmart for having everything that I would need while camping in this Paradise of Lake George. But on another level they came in and crushed all the local businesses that I remember well growing up. So as un-American as it is to shop at Walmart, I do appreciate the fact that they have everything and at a reasonable price. From groceries to clothes to camping and automotive repair, this store has it all.

Has a Redbox machine. Cheap store to buy food for most of the people living in this part of the Adirondack Mountains.

Sign in front of store warns of high wind activity in the area. Be sure to put your cart in the cart corral. Redbox machine is located on front right side of store just in the doors.
