Bruh. Literally they change the guest pass policy once a week and the policy differs on who’s working what shift. The other day i brought my friend whos 17 and they let her in with a school id and charged my card on file for $10. Today I brought my brother who’s 16, and told them to charge my card on file and they said they couldn’t let him in cus hes under 18 and needed a legal id. Whattt brother whattt

This gym offers a lot in terms of equipment, training spaces (basketball court, group ex room, women’s only area, turf), kids club, tanning, and hydro bed…. However the layout is INFURIATING. I say this as someone who has specifically been employed to assess ADA accessibility of training spaces, and managed more than one gym/personal training studio. The layout makes absolutely no sense at all. The footprint of the gym is long and narrow which is less than ideal, but given that footprint, you’d think more thought would be put into where equipment was placed and how it was grouped.Broken equipment takes up valuable real estate, and racks are placed far apart so plates end up cluttering the floor every where. Equipment is so close together it’s uncomfortable. The gym would do better to have less equipment and more space to accommodate flow of traffic and adequate storage. The turf is overflowing with scattered tires, steppers, and foam rollers that seemingly don’t have a place to be stored. Please please please reconsider your layout. Get a professional to come in and revamp the floor— someone with weight room design experience and knowledge of basic ADA accessibility. Also, fill the soap dispensers and sanitizing spray bottles!

I did once review this gym positively but I had a membership that I didn't use for over a year that I was paying for. When my bank card changed they were trying to tell me that I "had to be current" to cancel even though they can literally track and see how frequently I attended (NEVER) and payed for a year off service. LITERALLY ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!!!

They will hound you for money, all they care about is getting you to sign up for the most expensive membership and will leave out details about pricing, such as cancellation fees, or initial sign up fees. They also charge u randomly at times and can never give a good explanation for there charges; ur better off just going to catalyst a few minutes away.

I love Rome’s class on Monday mornings from 9 to 10 am. It is a great workout with fun music and detailed instruction. Rome is very helpful and is open to questions and offers good suggestions. The basketball court where this class is held is very dirty. I do not think it has been swept in weeks. If Rome’s class was not as good as it is, I would not want to be in this dirty environment. I am hopeful it will be swept sooner than later.

Joined crunch this year. Big space for weights and cardio and separate woman's only section. Good vibe here. Overall a good gym.

I stepped into Crunch Tonawanda for the first time about 2 months ago. It has something for everyone, whether you're into group fitness or cardio or bodybuilding. They even have bumper plates and weightlifting platforms which not a lot of gyms have. The employees and management are friendly and knowledgeable and help provide a non-intimidating and welcoming space!

This place is "meh" despite years and years of the same complaints and the company failing to address those complaints. It's definitely not all bad, and works fine if your goal is to just lift weights and leave without utilizing any of the other "ammenities," but it's pretty disappointing if you compare what the facility pretends to offer vs what you actually get.My review is actually based on the span of 5 years. I went to Crunch Tonawanda in 2018-2019 and then I gave them a second chance because so much time had gone by, and I had the same problems that I have now, so it doesn't seem to be a current staffing issue. I restarted my membership recently because the Buffalo Athletic Centers closed and Crunch is right down the street. Again, it's not the worst, esp if you are working out on your own and NOT with their trainers, but if anything else was walking distance, I wouldn't go here. It's large and has a lot of equipment and is open pretty good hours, way later than most of the gyms in the area. It has the Womens Only section & the Rock It equipment which I think is great for beginners, and people who are going here because the BAC closed (it's the same equipment). Very comfortable atmosphere.Tons of cardio areas, but the majority of the treadmills and stair treadmills have problems. The womens' room squat rack was broken for months. If you scoll the reviews, you'll notice the same exact copy-paste response to all of the complaints dating back YEARS. "Feel free to tell the front desk staff blah blah unfortunate blah blah" Which I find sad and ironic considering if you approach the desk staff for any reason with basic questions they are always rude because you've disturbed them from scrolling their phone for 30 seconds. The bathroom is always disgusting, there are holes in all the changing room stalls because they can't be bothered to put in a door stopper. The one shower has just not had hot water for months. Anytime I've contacted a manager (in 2018 or now) for anything from a billing issue to a simple question that staff didn't have answers to, none of those times I got a response. On top of all that they have steadily raised prices while providing less and less. The equipment or the interior hasn't been updated in ??? ever. They took out the juice bar for no reason other than "covid" which was three years ago. Yet the price goes up and they are happy to collect their annual fee while spamming your email with promotions and caring less and less. Every one of their "ammenities" cost extra except for the highest tier plan so if those are things you're interested in you're honestly better off going to a community center.
