The change of management has basically ruined this store. They don't even have a liquor license yet have a giant advertisment for beer in the front window.

UPDATED January 2020- The kitchen is now closed. Don't let the fact that this is located in a gas station deter you. The food here is fantastic and Nina is wonderful. I have found that everyone that works here is helpful and kind. I just had their chicken over rice iwith the white sauce and hot mango and I'm already craving more. Try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Definitely inconspicuous from the outside as it's inside the gas station but worth checking out for sure. Nina was so happy to see my mom and I and was so kind and helpful in ordering. We ordered chicken wraps and a chicken over rice with all 3 sauces. Soooo good. We tried her French fries with special spices too and they were great. She showed me a long list of people she has to call when she makes a certain special dish on Fridays because it's that good and usually gone by dinner time. Will definitely be back.

I couldn't find this place through Yelp. "Express Takeout"? It's actually Gulf Express with Halal Food inside. I think it should simply be called "Nina's Kitchen" at Gulf Express located on 265 Delaware Street in Tonawanda. This is a perfect place for having a quick bite to eat. The menu is short and Nina is extremely nice and friendly. It's actually home cooked food with a touch of love and care. Don't look at the stock photos next to the counter because they could be misleading. The price is right and the portions are good. We ordered chicken over rice and a chicken wrap. Rice dish was really tasty. It was basmati with pieces of marinated meat with a special creamy sauce, mint chutney and sesame seeds on the top. You can choose mango chutney but I thought it was slightly too sweet for my taste. The wrap was less interesting because it was burrito style with a lot of cheese inside. In this case, the amount of cheese killed the taste of the wonderful chicken and, unfortunately, wasn't too special to me. It looked different than the photos, but I didn't care about this part of our experience. I'm sure we'll be back and try lamb or something totally different if available. A! One more thing. There is a seating area where you can have your food if takeout is not the best option.
