“Rather than tell stories about the car mechanics I tried and didn't like, I'll say what I DID like about Performance Plus in Tuckahoe. Rob, John and Marco were all friendly and helpful, a good disposition. Along the way, John explained what he thought was wrong and how he was going to try fixing it. Then when I picked it up he explained in greater detail, answering all my questions, even the annoying ones. And the problem was fixed.

What I came away with is that they know their work, they like their work, and they want to make people happy by doing a good job. I cannot think of a greater compliment. Thanks guys!”

“I was sick with a bad cold and ran out to the store. I came out to find my car wouldn't start, in this freezing cold weather. A local mechanic came with a battery charger to jump it, but the car would not start. It seemed to be an electronics wiring problem or the ignition. I then called AAA to have the car towed to a repair shop to have diagnostics run on it. Mike from R& D Towing/ Auto Services came out right away. He said he wanted to double check the battery first, before bringing a tow truck. He is a battery specialist and knew this model of car well and the type of battery. He tried one battery charger, and the car would not start, and explained that a double jump would be required, so he hooked up two chargers, and right away the car started. He smiled and told me I should drive it to my mechanic's shop and have them replace the battery. He was super nice, and I was so grateful that he saved the time and the hassle of having my car towed, especially in this cold weather. Five stars from me!”

Most recently I had to return for a power steering pump repair that was replaced 11 months ago; he gladly replaced it free of charge as a defective warranty item. Receptionist Tina is excellent also.”
