I just wanted to share, as someone who hates Christmas and loathes this time of year, the frostbite event was one of the absolute coolest things I have ever been too and brought me so much joy I can not express it enough in writing. I have included my pic with me and Santa as that is absolute pure joy on my face. The whole experience start to finish was fantastic. The creepy music through the car ride, Jack frost greeting us with his elf, then walking through that 3D place to be tortured and chased by dead elfs wanting our teeth!! AMAZING.Then through the next house...I was in awe. They had a real "elf on a shelf" and was by far my favorite and most impressive site! But everything in there was so cool!! Just the perfect twist on christmas!I damn near pushed my own kids down in line to get to Santa and Mrs. Claus. These folks were hands down the absolute best! Even the elf with the attitude taking the pics. Santa's Axe was phenomenal. I plan to have my pic blown up and hung on my wall.We got snacks, which were delightful! The fun sparkly smoking drinks were not only beautiful, but equally delicious! And the hot cider doughnuts!! I could have eaten a dozen. The illusionist never fails to impress. I've seen him many times and always blown away. I think he is hysterical. The gift shops were also wonderful. I purchased the set of bloody teeth for my tree and couldn't be happier.

Went on Halloween weekend. To my surprise, we waited in line for only 5 minutes to get through check-in/security! It went by so fast. The attractions were fun and had some good scares, but there were barely any actors and the place was packed so you could see the scares happening in front of you which kind of ruined it. Aside from that, it is ridiculously expensive. I paid $230 for two scream pass tickets (to skip the lines) and i can say first hand it is NOT worth that money. I’d pay max $100 for two tickets for that haunted house.Again, it’s not bad. But definitely not worth over $200. I would recommend that Headless Horseman reconsider their pricing - especially since the attraction isn’t anything spectacular and is under-staffed.

I think they were understaffed this year. The look of the place alone was wonderful! However, I remember pre-pandemic going to this haunted house and absolutely loving it. Although I do think their issue this year is that they don't have enough actors. There were some that they had that truly were into their part, but there was a lot more that were not. Not to mention there were some parts that were not filled with any actors whatsoever. I hope it gets better as time goes on. I remember being really wonderful at one point

I wanted to like this more, especially for the price paid. The actors were okay, some were really good. One main gripe I had was they didn’t space people out well. It was also hard to stay in the atmosphere when you’re waiting in line.I’d recommend them to look at eastern state penitentiary’s Halloween nights. They do a good job keeping the atmosphere while waiting. Ultimately, there weren’t that many scares and the waiting was crazy. For the price, it’s just not worth it. There are better things in the area for cheaper.

We (a party of 4) paid over $120 per person for the scream pass. We have been to many haunted attractions in Delmarva and decided to drive 5 hours to try this attraction since there are claims that this is the best in the US. We all agree that this was worth about $50 due to the scare factor at best. Truly disappointed. I rarely leave negative reviews. However, I felt it necessary to alert others. It seemed that the attraction was under staffed for a Saturday night. I would say this ranked as our least favorite. The magic show was definitely the highlight.

We went on Sunday 10/15 and had an amazing experience. We had a 7:30 time slot and went through security quickly. We didn’t have a scream pass and barely waited for anything. The longest wait was for the hayride which was maybe a 15 min wait. The sets are designed absolutely amazingly and my group could not stop talking about the creepy motel. The hayride is awesome as well as the town portion when you exit the hayride as there is a whole story that goes along with it. We experienced plenty of jump scares from both the talented actors and the incredible animatronics. For the people mentioning being sprayed with liquid…it was just water and was a part of a prop. Can’t wait to return next year!

Hayride: Great! Spooky and well done!Haunted Houses: Pretty good, but relied heavily on animatronics instead of live actorsOperations: Needs work, skip line pass is a scamOur group bought tickets well in advance, although upon arrival you still need to wait in a slow moving line with those who are purchasing at the ticket counter. There really should be a dedicated line for people who already purchased and just need the wristband. We paid $30 extra per person for a pass that lets you skip all the lines. Unfortunately, moments after getting our wristband we were told it didn’t apply to the massive line to go through security. It took us around 30 minutes to get through. ?You then head over to the hayride which had a decent sized line that fortunately we were able to skip. Nice! The hayride was very good, although definitely recommend wearing pants you don’t care about because you will get mud all over your rear. The hayride ends and you’re dropped off at a haunted walking trail that turned out to be not all that haunted and only had 2 scare actors. You then reach the first house which we used the skip the line for, although the line really only looked to be maybe 3-5 minutes long.To our surprise, after the first house, you don’t actually queue up for each individual house. You’re just kind of herded from one house right to the next, and inevitably they start to get backed up. By the time we reached “The Swamp” we found ourselves in a queue that ended up taking nearly 20 minutes.Long story short, the “skip the line” pass really is only useful for skipping the line for the hayride, because there’s really no other part of the experience where you’ll be able to use it.

Been there three times now. Pre Covid (10/10), during Covid (7.5/10) and now post Covid (8.5/10).The lot is massive and the cost of ticket (used to be like $55-$60 now $80) worth it. Lots of details. Lots of houses. The actors have great makeup, and do their best to sneak up after you. The grounds are well kept. There are less actors now unfortunately, so less life like compared to pre covid, and the no refund policy sucks especially since people do travel far and wide to come here. I booked the same week we were planning on going. Personally I don’t think the scream pass is worth it, only place it helps is the hayride. The lines into the rooms move fast.TIPS:Go in large groups so they stagger your experience. Try to walk through the rooms, you’ll miss all the details if you run. They have amazing lights, mists, and themes. It’s always cold, so bring layers you can take off.

Let's start with the positives, this haunt is gigantic in terms of scope. The total actors, area space, décor shops, hayride budget, art direction, set pieces, photo opps, illusionist stage show etc. It's all massive and the total experience is easily 2+ hrs.The hayride is the highlight of this place. The gigantic set pieces here teleport you into new worlds, it looks very convincing and well designed. It's similiar to reaper's revenge's quality level, it's extremely dark and you're able to get the true cinematic experience. The art direction in terms of the scenes being played out was A+.After the hayride, you get a variety of different scares. A haunted house, a trail, corn maze, and even a walkthrough of an entire town. One of the highlights for me was the graveyard tomb sequence, the church music, special effects, and actors made it perfect.Another highlight is the motel walkthrough, as you transition into new rooms, it's feels like a nice horror movie adventure. There's many more positives but you get the idea.As for negatives, there's only one.I feel many scenes here are not exactly designed to accommodate merged groups. After the hayride, all groups walked through the town as one (12-15+ people). For atleast 1-2 of the other attractions, we had a group of 5-6 that kept sticking like glue to our group of 4 and the group in front of us was not far ahead either. The actors aren't even done performing the previous scene and the next group of 10 is there, it just creates an unideal experience.I also understand that the haunt can't control the people who go slow/fast, but the spacing can be improved by just waiting an extra 15-20 seconds.Lastly, this place is very crowded, so know what to expect when you go in terms of waiting times etc.Overall, I'm very happy with the experience and will return in the future.

Former employee here, and I have some advice for anyone who wants to apply...be prepared to walk on eggshells The season went off great, showed up on time every day, no issues, my acting was reportedly top notch, Then finally when the LAST DAY came around and the time came when we had to start getting our costumes on, a member of the management pulled me aside to say that I was being fired for and I quote " saying something that made someone feel uncomfortable earlier."Despite my inquiries as to what was said, who it was said to, and if they were even in my set... no information or further reason was given. So, I basically got fired because someone with the emotional stability of a wet paper bag got offended.Shocking. so, in short, DO NOT WORK HERE if you like your right to speak freely!

This place was SO much fun my throat still hurts from screaming! We bought the scream passes and bypassed all of the regular lines, which was SO worth it and I highly recommend paying the $30 extra!!! The props are absolutely amazing. You can tell that a lot of care, money and creativity goes into the displays! Definitely worth a 3.5 hours drive for us!!!

First time here so I didn't have any expectations that other folks mentioned this wasn't that great. Whoever did the design and decorations on the sceneries did a fabulous job. Didn't see a hayride, had a bit of a walk going from main entrance to where it starts. Highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothes as it might get a bit chilly going in and out of buildings or walking in the fields. Great actors. Some of the houses need more actors though the actor can move easily from 1 room to another which you can't always prepare for. The motion detectors need a bit of adjustment, since it's very delayed (ie pass the item then it pops up).Food wise: bring cash, no card in some cases. Merchandise : accepts credit cards.
