Five stars in support of the pharmacy, all the 1 star reviews obviously have never truly known what it is like to work severely understaffed and the public breathing down your back and complaining. And it’s a vicious cycle because it causes burnout and people leave, making the understaffed situation more dire. I find the pharmacy crew to be awesome and helpful and they do the best they can!

Every time I go to this place I ask myself why I have my scripts sent her. Awful. Just awful. It’s not the pharmacist, they seem to be nice people trying to do their best. It is the organization behind them/ CVS that is the source of constant failure and frustration.

The clerks are good in the pharmacy but anytime you have to talk to a pharmacist they are rude. They want to tell you about how stressful their day is and how short staffed they are. They have given me wrong pill counts several times. Even had me on the wrong dose for over a year, and they always run out of meds. They won’t change anything until they accidentally kill somebody.

Arrived 9:45 pm tonight, and this CVS was closed. Posted hours say it closes at 10. No explanatory note on the door. No car in the parking lot.

Worst pharmacy ever. After endless errors on their part and after REFUSING to order my medicine ( because of yet another error on their part concerning my insurance) I called my doctor's office to switch to a different CVS ( which was able to put it thru insurance without difficulty ) and the woman I spoke with at my doctor's office told me that she also had endless issues in Valatie and switched to a different pharmacy as well. This used to be a really good pharmacy and then there was a major turnover of staff. All I can say is, go elsewhere if you are looking for any kind of knowledgeable care, or failing that, any responsibility/actual concern for your health.

All CVS Pharmacy’s are not the same!I am originally from Valatie and have since moved to Buffalo. I use the CVS Pharmacy on Walden Ave in Buffalo and it is absolutely wonderful the staff is knowledgeable and incredibly professional. I am back in town for the week and had to grab something from the pharmacy, my family told me “I’d go to Hudson CVS or Hannaford if I were you” Well I should have listened. It’s a shame that a company the size of CVS doesn’t address a very clear problem with one of their pharmacy’s. Judging by the awful reviews online it seems as it’s only getting worse. To the employees at the Valatie location you should be ashamed of the disrespectful attitude and clear incompetence you and or your coworkers have. CVS do better!

The pharmacist has been very rude and did not help me with my problem. She seemed to care less when I told her this item was needed immediately for my sons health My son,who is type 1 diabetic was issued a replacement voucher from Abbott for a Libre 3 sensor. I’ve now tried 3 weeks to get this from cvs and he ran out of sensors last week. He is NOW out of sensors because one was faulty. This is a life saving device for diabetics . I went to cvs and they couldn’t fill it as they had none. Check back Monday, which I did and they filled my voucher. The dr had sent a script in for both a 2 & a 3 since she couldn’t remember which he got, but it was clear on the voucher that it should be filled with a 3. Got home and had a 2. Went back the next day and returned it and the assistant, in consultation with another woman, took it back and issued a receipt that she said I could use to get the correct one since it was their mistake. Went back last Friday and they said they were back ordered and try again on Monday. Went back today, Monday and the pharmacist first said, your insurance won’t cover it, I said that’s ok because I have this voucher and receipt. I explained about the return because of their mistake and she said it was the drs mistake and too bad- you’ve already used the voucher and my staff shouldn’t have taken the Libre 2 back. I told her I needed a sensor per the voucher and the mistake her staff made. She said - it wasn’t our mistake. I have confidence the nice pharmacist in Hudson would have found a solution so that I could have driven this sensor to my sons college tonight as planned. This is not the only time this pharmacist has been rude and short tempered with me and other customers. She should find another line of work - perhaps in a back room somewhere where she doesn’t have to deal with people’s medical problems.

This pharmacy will tell you something will be ready in the morning, and then tell you they were short staffed when you find out it wasn't filled. There is no apology for the poor service and they treat you as if you are lucky to be able to go to them as a customer. We are simply going to switch to another non-CVS pharmacy for anything that needs to be filled, they don't deserve our business, or yours either.

They were so awesome and helpful! I didn’t even realize that the store had closed at the time I entered, but they helped me out anyway, Graciously even packing my order in a bag for me. I really appreciate this!

Pharamcy is awful and I was not able to get a needed prescription. Attempted to get it two times, went back and forth with the doctors office and pharmacy and still not able to obtain it. Seems this pharmacy and the Urgent Care right down the road are enemies and like to use the patients as cannon fodder. Needless to say, I still do not have the inhaler that was prescribed to me for the flu. Lucky me huh? No phone call from the pharmacy either. I guess I will just continue not being able to breath. They certainly didn’t seem to care. Go somewhere else if you have the choice to do so. Awful customer service at this CVS.

Text and call me about a prescription, ask if I like it sooner, expedited. Yes please. Stop by to pick up, ready in half hour. Okay. Go home, they call me again, saying they'd fill it. I drive back to store, still not worked on. Half hour is now over an hour. Just started to snow outside. 2 nd trip in the dark. Sitting here now. My experience, frequently

Vax-booth in the rear, and if you get jabbed for the ‘Rona, you get a t-shirt which employees wear saying “vaxed” with the emblem of crossed bandaids in blue and pink, so that you can signal your virtue to neighbors. The local high school’s uniforms are sold here, and there are two automated check-out counters, as well as an automated teller machine. Ample parking around the store, and convenient location.

Employees are always helpful and friendly. Often prices are lower here on everyday items than grocery store! Easy 1 stop shopping (and with the care pass- you save even more!!)
