“I took my foster dog here last Friday. Nice staff. Clean examination rooms. The doctor was very nice. He took his time examining Cagney and explained everything to us. The front desk staff was pleasant and efficient. It's located in a busy area but there's plenty of metered parking. I had no problem getting a spot a 1/2 block away. You must realize that the current veterinarian is NOT connected to the previous veterinarian that was at this location. Highly recommended.”
“Croton Animal Hospital has taken care of my pets, one dog and three cats, for 25 years. They have all been wonderful!! Dr Gustavson has been their primary vet and has been very knowledgeable, professional and compassionate!! He has helped me with diabetic care of two cats who have been on insulin, which has not always been easy, and two cats with IBD. He has always been available for me with all my questions and need for guidance.
He is a fantastic vet and I will always go to him.
I recommend the CAH highly!!”

“I drove over 100 miles to come here because they specialize in eye care and they have a few vets so you can get an appointment that isn't over a month out. I'm very happy with my experience. My GSD gets anxious at the vet and normally doesn't do as well with male vets, but Dr. Gaarder had a calm presence and the exams went smoothly. He thoroughly explained our GSDs condition and things to look out for that would warrant a call to the office. The cost of the visit was very reasonable for a specialist.”

“Dr. Cassandra Ring is the best veterinarian my Willow had, yes had, because he passed away on 5/6/2026 at the office. She and my family were by his side, but she cried as if Willow was her baby. Our Willow, Pitbull mix was 16.5 years old. The office personnel were also in tears, as they said goodbye to Willow with us. Finding such empathy is unique, this office has it, our hearts are devastated by the transition of our beloved Willow, at least he knew such beautiful love. They handled everything for us❤️”
“We had such a wonderful experience bringing our shy dog to this animal hospital. Our pup is usually very nervous at the vet and takes a long time to warm up to new people, but Ashley had biscuits and was incredibly patient, gentle, and compassionate from the moment we walked in. She took the time to make our dog feel safe and comfortable, and by the end of the visit our dog absolutely loved her.
The doctor was also amazing — thorough, kind, and very understanding of our dog’s anxiety. Together they made what is usually a stressful visit into such a positive experience. You can truly tell they care about both the pets and their owners. Dr Truslow's caring treatments applied worked pretty much immediately! Everyone is feeling much better!”
“I appreciate that the Dr. Emmot was prepared and had reviewed the extensive records I had forwarded before our appointment. I also appreciated that they were on time. Dr Emmot spent an unhurried hour explaining in detail what was going on and answering patiently all my questions. Since extensive labs were required, I appreciate also the fact that I was asked if I was OK with going ahead with all of it given the price. That consideration is not common and worth noting.

“I followed Dr. Gina Antiaris when she took over the practice and I have never looked back. I believe there are 3 doctors there and I trust my cats to no one else. They completely understand and are empathetic to the nutiness some of us clients can inflict on them because they understand that for some, their pets are their life.
They are compassionate and its very rare for any Healthcare oriented establishment but I never felt pressured to get tests done or spend a crazy amount of money. When Dr. Gina tells me we need to do something we know its necessary and not just another way to get money out of us.
I am so lucky I have them to keep my cats up and running and honestly the whole staff deserves a standing ovation because they truly care about what they do.”
