I was greeted with a staff member dance challenge which I engaged and it left me with a smile and happiness. As a person of color when entering certain spaces there is an innate tension that ‘this will be THAT day’, so having a welcoming staff eliminates that concern and makes shopping an enjoyable experience. Perhaps sharing a love of pets helps remind people to lead in kindness. My Grandpupee’ (pu-pay) Huey was the recipient of those feelings with a much more generous budget.
I thank the Elmont / Valley Stream staff for the natural jovial mood.

Very disappointed. I went with my sister and we forgot to take our card so we only had 20 dollars than my mom called and told them we will surely pay you the 96 dollar but they were making fun of us. I know it's out fault but like they shouldn't have laughed like that

Was very shocked how rude the manager was. My mother is a regular customer here and she is older. I went to get my mother who is 70 years old her dogs food. The man who I believe his name was Walter was very rude to me due to the fact I did not know if I was grabbing the correct food for my mom’s dog. I had to call to confirm. He was not patient and very rude! This was not the first time. I unfortunately hope I got the correct name but do know for sure it was a male manager. Will be contacting HR regarding this.

I used to be a regular customer here but... not anymore! The woman managing the store is ridiculous and insulting, some of the pet food is expired so I always have to check exp. date and, lately, the brands I buy are always out of stock. I'm gonna stick with Amazon, it's a few $ less, the stuff gets delivered to your house and nobody is insulting you.

I’ve been to other locations but the Valley Stream store is undoubtedly the best- the variety , and especially the friendly and helpful staff are what make this location the best.

Great stop for pet needs! I only shop for my cat and dogs but they always seem to have everything for all types of pets. I have never had an issue with them not having something I needed, if you're in the area and have pets I'd say this is 100% the place to go!
Staff is awesome and helpful!
Also if you shop at King Kullen across the lot, you're guaranteed a coupon on the back of your receipt!
