I would never use any of these types/kinds of machines. They charge & take a percentage of your change/coins that you put in for them to count & convert to cash. Which may not seem like much, but, over time, can, (& does), greatly add up to a decent amount of your money being lost to these machines!

I shop at the Weis Market on 3rd st. in Elmira NY. I like the store. It is well laid out and the help is friendly and available. Love the fact that the store has a gas station in the lot. Which brings me to my big complaint about the store. The parking lot sucks! Pot holes everywhere. Lack of cart corrals and a confusing entrance and exit set up. The produce is good. Well priced considering the market. Excellent selection of meat. The shelves are well stocked with good selection. I make the approximate 35mile plus drive to shop here for multiple reasons. Price, selection, quality and for lower gas prices. I would happily add an additional star if the parking lot was in decent shape. Do not expect the entry or exit situation to change any day soon. So a 3 star rating is the best I can do!!

I went to Weis to grab a few items without a cart or basket. I bundled the items to the counter and checked out, only to find my items sitting there unbagged. I figured that the cashier was simply lazy; that's okay -- I could just bag them myself! But there were no bags to be found. I had to bundle all my items in my arms to carry them out to my car! What kind of grocery store doesn't have paper bags!?!! Even ducking Aldi has bags!

I have to say, this is an old fashion supermarket, in look and style,But I mean that in the best way. It's right around the corner from where I live, and I love it. I'm not from the area but moved here about a year ago and it's been my go to spot. Don't get me wrong, I'm at Wegmans fanatic, but there's a lot I love about Weis as well. First off they have a great selection of products, especially specialty foods. The store is clean and always well stocked. The people are very friendly, and the prices are really good. The really nice thing is it's never really very crowded. I am a fan, keep up the good work!

I have never ever posted a review on grocery shops, but let me tell you all, this place is probably the best for Japanese people. I am from Japan and loved it. Why? Look at the photo attached. If you've been to Japan and stayed there long enough to get to know our culture, you must have tried these at least once. They are literally the best instant noodle of all. Oh! You're an American? Shut up, and listen to me very well..., ''TRY THEM.''

Go from shoveling thousands of pounds of dirt by hand at work, walking in to Weis to find employees standing around and insulting customers. I saw on call a customer a l**** as they walked past, poor guy. These ppl should not have Thier jobs. Waste of resources. Please don't use this Weis location, tho I find similar behavior at other locations

This lady below doesn't know what she's talking about. Does she even think how hard it must be to have everything anyone would want lol. This store is awesome good produce with a huge selection, fast courteous deli.Great meat department with skilled butchers the bakery is alright and seafood is less than great but overall the whole store is awesome.

This Weis Market really needs to step up its game. This is the store that I used to go to but now I go to the one in Binghamton or Wegmans. How you may wonder... Why such a low review for a grocery store? Well, Yelpers that is about to be explained. I cook 5-6 nights a week as well as make lunch for my fiance to take to work. We try to be as healthy as possible. #sheddingfortheweddingyall. All of my meals require fresh produce. On at least 4 occasions has this Weis location been out of or had rotten/poor selection of produce. All the bananas are green. No spaghetti squash. No broccolli slaw. On the vine tomatoes (that were left) were very squishy. Rotten cucumbers On one occasion I forgot to check the package of celery I bought and when I got home they were brown underneath. When I asked a produce associate about an item they were out of he told me to wait til tomorrow. Well, sir, that doesn't help me today. I just head over to the Price Rite across the street. When I go to this Weis store, It is almost a guarantee that I have to go to another store to get everything that I need. It baffles me why this store has such poor inventory when the one on Pennsylvania in Binghamton always has what I need.
