“Really great for a dollar store. You can find pretty much everything you need, Just in much smaller sizes, And sometimes you're finding brand name products for a dollar. Sometimes it can be quite surprising what you can find”
“Tonight (7/23/25) I went to the Apalachin Dollar General with a tiny battery from a ~31 year old cheap plastic picture frame that had a voice recording from my dad who passed away last month. I couldn’t make out the battery type on the surface (probably need new readers too), so I found a pack that appeared the same size & asked a young man who worked there: Can you see if I have the right type? He examined it, tried to find the same type around the store and couldn’t. Then he actually looked online with his cell phone and confirmed my battery was interchangeable with the new version we found in store. I explained to him I was trying to keep a precious recording of my dad’s voice & he said please come back and let me know if it worked. What a wonderful person who really cared. The batteries worked & I consider this trip to Dollar General priceless. Thank you so much, you made a big difference in a stranger’s life tonight. I wish I asked your name!”
“This is one of the cleanest and well stocked Dollar General stores that I have experienced. The staff are polite and helpful. One stop shopping... think mini Wal-Mart.”
“This is the first time I have shopped at this Dollar Tree it is clean, organized, and well-lit. They have a great selection of items, with many new items too. The employees are pretty great, pleasant, helpful, interactive, and just an overall wonderful attitude. l find this location to be much better than the Binghamton location hands down.”
“This is one of best maintained DG I have been in. The isles were clear and the shelves were well stocked. I actually felt compelled to walk up and down the isles and look around. I did have to wait a bit too long for the cashier to come out of the office to clear a self-checkout error, but other than that it was a nice store. I would definitely shop this store again.”

“Some good deals, but also somethings, you pay more for than you can buy online like Sheba cat food - over $14.00 for a 12 pack. Chewy charges $13.34 if you subscribe, Amazon can be even cheaper, you just have to know your prices.”
