Was given a nice upgrade. Jorge dealt with me graciously despite me losing my temper with him unjustifiably. Appreciate not having to go all the way to airport to get a vehicle.

My son had reservation only to be told there were no cars at pick up and to come back later in the day. He did, and there were still no car for him. They told him he could have at Tesla at $200 more! This had delayed his travel home for the holiday, and to scramble to find a car to rent from another rental company. Terrible customer service, they do not care how they inconvenience people . DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! BE FOREWARNED. NOT WORTH THE AGGREVATION!

If I could give negative starts I would. I got a rental October 26 and am supposed to have it for one week. So I turn it back in November 2. I left my car in the corner of the parking lot. Away from other vehicles. And I was not told that I can't park my car there for a week while I have a rental. I received a letter November 1 that Hertz had my personal vehicle towed October 30. They didn't even call me to tell me to move it or anything. The towing company has had my car since Monday and I was not notified until 2 days later. The bill is $815 and when I called hertz in Vestal NY, the manager told me it's not his problem. And for us to deal with it. The tow company said Hertz called them to have my vehicle towed. When I talked to Hertz they said they never called. And the tow company drives around o find cars to tow for money. Which they said is a lie. The manager at Hertz in Vestal NY is garbage and trash. I had some other foul words on here but my post was taken down. And he hung up the phone on me when I explained to him that I was not informed about my vehicle being towed. He was acting like he was in charge and corporate can't say or do nothing to him. He was unprofessional at the way he spoke to me and how he handled the situation. I have already told multiple people not to come do business with Hertz. And we will no longer be doing business with them. We will take our business to Enterprise. Hertz are liars and thieves.

We have rented cars from this location several times, each time without issue. This time I waited a little too long before inquiring about a specific rental. Unfortunately they did have what I needed but Patrick continued to look at other locations to get what I needed. Thank you Patrick for going above and beyond.

2nd time this Hertz location had screwed me over. 1st time was a few years ago when they gave my reseved vehicle cargo van away and i had to drive to Elmira to get one. Today I show up 15 minutes early to my 930am pickup to get my reserved Tesla Model 3 to find out its not there and won't be back until 12 noon. DOESNT HELP WHEN I HAVE TO BE IN SYRACUSE FOR BUSINESS BEFORE NOON. I was offered a gas vehicle.... i own a gas vehicle. I specifically reserved a Tesla because I wanted to use an EV for the trip. Rediculous....

WORST PLACE EVER! They try to scam you so watch ur credit card statements! I rented vehicle for 2 days and they tried to charge me for 4 days I caught it and now they are acting stupid and trying to justify it.. NOT THIS GIRL!BEWARE!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. They refused to take my Visa card because of the bank it was issued through and then wouldn’t take a debit card even after I pointed out the sign on the wall saying it was a violation of New York law to refuse to rent a car because of not having a credit card. I’ve never been more offended or embarrassed by a company I was trying to do business with. The agent was very rude and condescending towards me. I will be contacting the New York attorney general’s office about this.

This place is the best place to rent by far it's literally a whole different vibe in comparison to other rental places I highly encourage everyone to rent from them I personally dealt with Ellen and Patrick and they are wonderful and super easy and helpful I really look forward to renting there many more times try them out I personally guarantee complete satisfactionthese are 5 most unique best parts of this location1.the price is super cheap2.u r guaranteed that they will have the car u want or better3.all their cars are in the best condition and most updated models4. The staff is super pleasant and nice5. It is in a great location very easy to find

Would give 0 stars if possible. I used to rent with Hertz every week and travel for work, never had any issues. Apparently, there is new management. I am renting today and was told they will allow my service dog "in the car" but will not help rent a vehicle large enough to transport a crate. The crate is the preferred safe method of travel for a service dog. I asked if that was legal (to charge more to accommodate a service dog) and was again told they only have to allow the dog in the vehicle, not provide a vehicle for the dog to travel in (huh?). They lost a customer and when I explained the service laws, they were apathetic, almost rude. Enterprise - go to Enterprise...

I reserved and paid for a full size car at the Vestal Parkway location. They gave me a mid size car. I have major back and neck issues and I’m under the supervision of a neurosurgeon. This is why I reserved a full size. I asked the girl, (she had brown hair sat at the first desk straight ahead when you walk in), when I picked up the car if it was a full sized and she quickly said yes and was trying to rush me out. She was very rude. She knew it was not the right car. My back and neck were in so much pain the whole time. And had no way to get a different car as I was 11 hours away from home. Called customer service one person said it was the wrong car gave me a case number. Said to give it to the Hertz when I got home. When I got home told the guy, he didn’t care and didn’t even ask for the case number. Jordan super rude. I have gotten full size vehicles from Hertz before and this was NOT it!! The Manufacturer classified this car as a midsize car. It was a very small car! And when I got in you feel like you’re sitting on the ground. I will never rent from Hertz again! The staff was unbelievably rude and will lie to you about the car they are giving you. So you pay more for a smaller car. And you will get NO compensation for your inconvenience or for the extra money you had to pay. Stay away from this place!!

Awful. We rented a Tesla and got not notification that it wasn’t available. It was not comparable to a Kia or Camry. I’m livid. Never using them.

Unfortunately, Hertz nearly ruined my family’s Thanksgiving. We reserved a car last week to pick up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to ensure safe travel to our relatives’ house.
Nowhere in the booking information was I told that they “don’t accept cards through Chime”, only to present a valid credit card with my name on it. Upon presenting my card, I was told that they don’t accept it and will not be able to rent to me today.
My husband went in to ask, and he got a more detailed explanation, which for some reason was not even offered to me, instead I received a shrug and a “Sorry that’s too bad.”
The rental agent informed my husband that they DO accept my card, but would have to put us in a different type of car and charge us a security deposit. That wouldn’t have been a problem had that solution been presented to me, the renter, during our first encounter. Money was no issue, a deposit was no issue, but y’all’s attitudes certainly are.
As someone who rents cars periodically as a way to ensure safe long-distance travel for my family, this was the first and last time I’ll ever consider using Hertz. I’m not sure if the employee didn’t offer me those situations based on my alternative appearance or because I’m a female, but I’m disgusted.
Nobody should waste their time with this place, they don’t want your money anyway & will judge you based on your appearance instead of the money in your account and willingness to abide by their rental policies.
You should be ashamed. We will be continuing our business at Enterprise, as they gave us NO ISSUES and we’re extremely up front about everything.
