If you raise chickens or any type of livestock or have pet cats or dogs, you'll love Country Max stores. I recently visited six themand lived that each one is slightly different, paying homage to the town they're located in. The stores are all clean and well stocked. Good quality products, not the cheap Chinese products that are rampant n the other big box feed supply stores, which was awesome to see. Lots of decor items too. A little light in the chicken keeping department as far as treats, first aid and other products but hopefully as backyard chickens continue to grow in popularity, they'll go a bit heavier in that category. Definitely worth the trip and I would love to see this family owned chain expand far beyond New York.

Great Farmington Store. I love all the people who work there. I have been going there for 30 years plus even before it was CountryMax. BUT, they have a giant POT hole in their parking lot that is ridiculous that they have not repaired or resurfaced. They do enough business that they should be able to make these much needed capital improvements. You are going to start losing customers in that hole!

I like Country Max it is in a great location for me. They have a good selection of dog foods. I would like it more if they didn't sell animals.
