This is a great local venue with a number of courses to provide a challenge for all level of golfers. The topography on the course and on many greens presents a challenge. The new pin setter has devilish soul and has many holes in very guarded positions. Miss a putt by an half- inch and you can have an 8-footer coming back. This is a course you should definitely play.

Both the north and south courses are a joy to play. Greens were fair and fun to putt on. I'll be back to play both courses again.

Nice course for the price. $12 for 9-hole executive walking. Can't beat that. Course was in fine shape. Glad I know about this place now!

Had a tee time at 5:40 and there were practically 3 groups on the tee box. Ended up teeing off 20 minutes later and finished our round on hole 7 at about 8:15 because it got dark. The ranger made the group in front of us play through a group of 4 and they did not play through correctly so it ended up taking longer than it should have. How you have 3 courses and still manage to have it back up that bad is honestly incredible.

Every year they raise the price and every year the conditions get worse. I don’t know why they provide rakes for the bunkers, there was not a single one in a condition safe to hit out of. More rocks and mud than sand with the majority having several inches of standing water. Based on the size of the tadpoles swimming in one bunker, it’s had standing water in it for over a month.Throw a dart at a map of Rochester and you’ll hit a public course in better shape than this.Extra star for the greens not being that bad.

My group called ahead to make sure 5 people playing was alright since at most places it’s not allowed. We got the ok not once but twice. We get there and was “greeted” by a lady who was not so nice. We waited until our time to play and went back in to an older guy who was rude. We got to the 1st hole and another group came so we let them play through. 3 holes later someone came and said “you guys have to split up or get off of the course” we went back and got our money back, never going back again.

If I could, I would have given Victor hills a rating of zero. However I can't. When my nephew called to make reservations he had asked if it was okay for a fivesome to play, they said it was fine. He had talked to two different people they said it was fine. When we came to play the staff was rude, mean and very unhelpful. Everyone we encountered seem to be very unhappy with their jobs there. We were told to play on the north course and the old man behind the counter yelled at us not to play on the south which we knew because of a golf tournament going on. He let us go with the 5 of us. We got through four holes of golf and an employee came out on his golf cart and told us that we either had to split up two and three people or leave the course. He stated that we were not allowed to play as a fivesome. My brother tried to tell him that we had permission. But he didn't even want to hear it. I believe someone complained about the fivesome. We decided to leave when we came back to the clubhouse we were told that we would get rain checks. However my brother was very upset and said no you're going to give us our money back. We got our money back and left. The golf course quite frankly was awful for $31 and cart. If their policy Is 4 golfers per party it should be stated as such when calling and we should not have been allowed to start. The five of us all agreed we would not play ther again if for no other reason than the poor staff.

Like most of my golf game.... this course is somewhat functional (at best). If you are looking for a laid-back location to play some golf with friends and enjoy the outdoors, this is your place. Will say it is challenging given the tighter fairways and trees (plus, im not good sooo). Most lies are difficult simply because there are a lot of grounds to manage so conditions are fair. 5 stars for proximity and is good enough for me...wouldn't travel too far though.

What’s wrong with the angry old man at the front desk! The majority of the staff there are completely miserable and treated me and my family like garbage. Would give zero stars if I could I will never be coming back to this place again, was told by two people I could have a group of five out there and so we went out with five people and another angry person drove there cart up to us and said we need to split our group up or leave and then when my dad was trying to tell him that we had permission the man would not let my dad talk he talked over him and told him he did not want to hear it. So we drove back to the clubhouse and asked for our money back and the lady was very nasty and would not originally give us our money back but then she changed her mind and gave us our money and we left. Never again going to this course! Never have been treated so horribly in my life! The cranky old man was very rude and so is a majority of the staff!

So i really dont leave many bad reviews, and I wanted to like Victor Hills because I live across the street, but the reality showed differently.First, the course itself isn't horrendious, but it certainly isn't kept up as well as others in the immediate area. The greens had black spots all over all 18 of the ones we played. The sand, i mean gravel traps, weren't good at all and were either flooded or rock hard. Now the real reason for the 1 star and why we won't be back, THE STAFF WAS ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE! My golf partner and I wondered on numerous occasions, "If you have your job so much, why do you even keep going??". It started as soon as we arrived. The older guy in the proshop was very gruff. When we acknowledged any Victor Hills employee with a wave or hello, we were absolutely ignored or stared at. At the turn, we hit the pro shop for some beers and snack, finally 2 good employees! The proshop had a younger gentlemen at the register, and he was helpful, and the "new" bartender was also great and very helpful. The lady cooking, on the other hand, was an absolute peach. She was very angry that I ordered some mac salad, and just tossed it on the counter and said "here."Again, I really wanted to like Victor Hills, but after 2 attempts and coming out with the same outcome, I won't be back. There are many other courses within 15-20 minutes of here that will welcome you to a better, well-kept course, and the employees actually act like they enjoy going to work.

We enjoyed our round of golf today.Tee boxes were tough but all and all a good round. It didnt start so we'll the older gentleman in the club house could care less about his customer we told him about the online special and the fact that you couldn't book on line a nd he just shrugged his shoulders and took our money. The woman listened pointed us to the right person to talk to and issue resolved.

Charged $31 to ride nine. Absolutely ridiculous for the quality of the course. Ravenwood and Eagle Vale are the same price for the time we played, if not slightly cheaper. It also took 2 hrs 50 to play 9 on the south. This is course is a joke and I can't believe people pay that price to play here. I will never come back unless it is for free and they pay me gas money. Go elsewhere!!!!

The fairways are 1/3 grass, 1/3 crabgrass, 1/3 weeds. The bunkers are always a mess. The greens are normally okay, nothing special. Have played there when the grass was longer than you’d expect. The clubhouse and proShoe need major upgrades, especially when you see Ravenwood, Deerfield(prior to Covid) all making upgrades up their facilities.

We had a great time! $45 on a Sunday.12 Players in our year end outing from another golf location. We have played here once or twice a year for many years. We played the North (prefer it to South) and quickly remembered the challenge it can give your round. Greens and fairways in nice shape and interesting holes. Only minor negative a little shorter grass cut all around.
