I tried twice to bring my Chevrolet to the dealership to fix a transmission issue, twice the issue could not be resolved. MG Martin Auto fixed the issue immediately and now the car shifts perfectly. Great knowledgable, honest repair shop. Highly recommend.Services: Transmission

Owner is super friendly. My car is due for the annual sticker but was in dealer for a battery repair and dealer didn't tell car wont pass inspection. Joe failed it but offered me to fix the issue and inspected again for free!Been doing inspection here for couple years now, this is my goto store

The guys have kept my fleet of junkers running in top shape. In all seriousness thanks to these guys I've managed to get a 150k miles out of my Honda and 207k out of my 09 Focus. I've never had any issues with any of the work performed!

Rye Ford- which is close to my house- told me that I might need a new engine because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car, and that I may need a new engine. They claimed to have replaced all of the spark plugs. So, I decided that I wanted a second opinion before I went any further, and potentially bought a new engine for $4000 and paid for more diagnostic work. I brought my car down to to Joe at MG Auto in Pelham, where I grew up; my mother and grandmother have gone to him for decades, and have had only had good experiences. After looking at my car, Joe explained to me that the second spark plug was still in the engine- and that Rye Ford had not done the work I had paid for. He was able, after some force and an overnight soak of the plug, to manage to get it out and successfully replace it. The check engine light is now off- and my car is fixed thanks to him. He was honest and effective. He is a top-rate mechanic who Pelham is truly lucky to have working in its town.

Came last minute the day my car inspection was due. The owner was courteous and professional and squeezed me in- he even directed me to a cafe so I could hang out and work while waiting and then called me to return. Everything was fine and I didn't get any sales pushes. This was after driving half an hour from another place who told me they could see me for a car inspection that morning only to be told by an employee they don't do inspections upon my arrival (and yes I called ahead to confirm). MG Martin was a pleasant change. Be aware that the directions on the app might take you to the street address in New Rochelle instead of Pelham- go to Pelham!
