Thruway Sporting Goods is a well-stocked and clean store with a very broad selection of outdoor equipment. It is described as the best sporting goods store around, offering a great selection of about anything outdoors-related. The staff is consistently noted as friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and informative, providing great service without being pushy. While some find the prices great and fair, others note they can be a little pricey or high on certain items. Despite this and occasional comments on low inventory in specific departments, the excellent staff and extensive selection keep customers coming back, even from a distance.

It's been around since I was a kid. The new store is awesome.
Update 2026. Still the same place. Everyone is helpful, the downstairs is outdoor stuff, clothing, and boots/sneakers. Upstairs is fishing and firearms. You can catch their sidewalk sales sometimes, and they have some cool stuff.
