Always a great dining experience at Blackbird. Best food quality of small plate restaurants on L.I. Each season the switch up the menu. The seafood offerings have been increasing and they added some new wines to the menu.

Food was outstanding and service was about the best I've experienced in a long time. Restaurant was quiet, but it was a rainy Tuesday night. Could be a lot busier on the weekend, but busy or quiet, we'll be going back!

The dinner we had was very good, but the menu has limited choices and they were unwilling to make any changes to the dishes. Pretty annoying as the waitress was not exactly nice about it when we asked if we could have something removed from the dish that we ordered.

First time and we were blown away. Staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious and plated beautifully. It was cozy and intimate, a perfect setting for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. Below are the dishes we ordered and let's say, we cant wait to return!!

Food was amazing. What you would expect from a Manhattan bistro. Service was attentive and was always available. Went on a Tuesday night and all the tables were taken. This is a sign of consistency. Small place with just the right level of chatter. Quiet enough so you can speak to your partner but loud enough that you are not distracted by the conversation at the next table. Blackbird blew away our expectations and landed on our restaurant rotation.

Food and service was great.. however it's a very small space, felt like I was dining with the couple next to us since there's not enough separation between the tables. Too small

A hidden gem, The food, cocktails and service are outstanding. Food and cocktail menus are unique. Chef Chris Perrotta is a star in the making and his staff is incredible. One of the best restaurants I have been to.

Overall we enjoyed this restaurant the food was phenomenal it was so refreshing to have such a wonderful menu. The toasted carrot appetizer was so delicious I'm still thinking about them. The Gruyère bites melt in your mouth. The short rib with pasta also so good. Service was very good. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing I did not like is the seating is very close together and if you come a little early, they tell you you can have a drink at the bar but the bar is set up for people to so it was uncomfortable just standing there they need to make an area where you can just hang at the bar and not feel like you're invading on the diners.

The food is phenomenal and the staff is fantastic! The wine list is awesome and carefully curated. I didn't get to do the chef tasting this time around but anything you get on the menu is amazing. The bread pudding for dessert is a must have.

Food tastings were delicious and appropriately portioned. Service was excellent with the server explaining each course! I thought it was quite expensive especially as they added a $20 surcharge if you chose steak as your last course, option was either chicken or steak. Drinks were expensive. I would go again, but probably not choose the tasting menu.

Blackbird Kitchen and Cocktails is an awesome place for excellent food and drinks. Staff is very polite, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Bourbon drinks are the specials as well as their cocktails. There are also craft beer and wine options. Most plates are shareable. Everything on the menu is delicious. Reservations are highly recommended. Also know that Uncle Frank's in Wantagh on Railroad Ave and Rustic Root in Woodbury are under the same management. Each Restaurant is excellent and offers their own specialties on food and drink.

The restaurant is small & you can't sit at the bar before dinner (because they are reserved for people to eat) but the seasonal menu with all fresh ingredients was incredible. There were lots of small plates for the table to share.

Consistently great food and service. Highly recommend the little gem salad, prawns, and steak. We haven't had a bad dish there.

Courteney is a great server and made excellent recommendations We did the chefs tasting experience and it did not disappoint. I would have liked to do a wine pairing with the menu choices though! Overall a great experience!
