The Jones Beach Hotel in Wantagh, New York, offers a unique and charming experience for guests. Despite some minor drawbacks, such as the lack of an elevator and limited storage space in some rooms, the hotel's strengths lie in its cleanliness, cozy atmosphere, and exceptional customer service. The staff, particularly Manny and Ellie, have been praised for their friendly and helpful demeanor, going above and beyond to assist guests. The hotel is described as a "hidden gem" off the beaten path, with a nostalgic, "time machine" feel as you step inside. While some rooms may have issues with temperature control or older beds, the overall consensus is that the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel's proximity to Jones Beach and the attached Italian restaurant are also noted as positive features. Guests appreciate the hotel's affordability compared to chain hotels, and the unique amenities, such as the pay phone in the hallway, add to the hotel's quirky charm. Despite some minor structural concerns, such as the sloping hallway, the hotel provides a comfortable and enjoyable stay for those seeking a more personalized and budget-friendly experience.

Stayed one night for a concert at Mulcahy's (15 min walk). Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Could hear footsteps above throughout the day night but other than that it was a great stay.

The reviews were spot on. The people were so nice and my room was comfortable and spotless. The place is outdated but that’s built into the price. I’ll stay there again in a heart beat!
