It's a nice place with many authentic goods and the staff are friendly. Note though, this place is very pricey. Purchased 2 Italian sandwiches which came to over $30 and what's more disappointing is they were not worth it. No flavor and dry bread. Sadly, not a winner this place.

Great stuff here. The produce is always fresh, and there’s a large variety of pre-packaged foods made in-store. Not much else I can write about, since you’d have to come here to see how great the selection is.

I ordered a Turkey BLT from the deli and the bacon they put on the sandwich was not cooked!! Very out of character for them, I usually am a huge fan of their quality food, but this was just gross. For a $15 sandwich, the bacon should at least be cooked.

My families been going here for 15+ years and we’ll be going here for another 15+ The staff are always accommodating and the food is top notch. The sandwiches are amazing, the grab n go prepared food always comes in handy when you’re hungry and in a rush, and the other pepared food always hits the spot. Great local spot, amazing owners, great place!

Haven't been here in a few years for no reason other than I have other options that are closer. Long story short, gonna take the extra time and head out to shop. Prices are reasonable, service is exceptional, food it delicious.

Took mom here for our first time.the classic sandwich was really good.i asked for 2 rice-ball with meat but when I got home spinach was inside.i asked for salted fresh mozzarella and it was very hard not sure what happened there.other than that really nice Italian deli.i recommend.

The food in the deli here is great. It's fresh for the most part and well staffed. Unfortunately, parking is always a nightmare, so it's not a quick trip to pop in and out. Sometimes, the line for the deli will take a good 20-30 minutes. Their bread has gotten smaller over the last few years even though their prices haven't. There are other places nearby that bake their bread in-house that taste better and are less expensive.I gave it a 3 star rating because of the checkout process and lack of professionalism. Be careful when buying produce. The teenage cashiers tend to overcharge. I was charged over $10 for a head of romaine lettuce, which was $2.99. The girl tried to tell me it was $2.99/lbs. This is one example, but it's happened a few times, so I won't buy produce there any longer. I used to shop in there frequently, but after that, I seldom go in. That was my solution to the looks and giggles when I said something. Hopefully, the owner will read this and do something if he wants to keep the local customers coming back.Their West Islip store is huge compared to this one. This location is very cramped and the lines can be very long. The N Bellmore is about the same. They do offer the option to order ahead for holidays. I've never done that, and the feedback has been mixed from the local FB groups. It is still an option, nevertheless.Overall, if you want a good hero to take to the beach or don't feel like cooking, it's a good place to get something. There are a lot of options. The deli staff do make an effort to keep things clean. It is on the pricey side so be prepared to spend money when you shop.

Cannot say enough good things about Salpinos, whether it be last min or days in advance they always get my order done and properly they really do go above and beyond for their customers. Food is always delicious, fresh, and most importantly consistent! The workers are the best but Anthony always goes above and beyond for all his customers!
