Got an eggplant parm hero, I asked for it toasted (was not toasted. Very little eggplant and 4 strings of cheese... pathetic hero!!! I will never go back to this OVER-RATED pizza place

The regular slices are pretty good. The specialty slices are basically garbage, the margarita slice looks OK! Everything else I wouldn't touch. Go down to Mama's in Copiague if you want a Real quality specialty slice. Trust me, it will be worth the ride!

Just went there today with some coworkers for sit down lunch in the back. It was clean and looked very nice. Our waiter was super friendly and brought us water and bread and some garlic knots!!! We had fried calamari which was light and crispy, mozzarella sticks (cheese was soft and melted on the inside) and the bruschetta (fresh and tasted ok). I ordered the chicken marsala which was very tasty. Several people ordered salads which looked very large and good as well. Definitely would consider returning with my family one day when we're craving Italian

The food is good. The ambience is good for a neighborhood place. The service is attentive, but I wish they would teach the waiters how to wait tables. 1st you take the drink orders and return with the drinks before you take the dinner order and you start with the women. Most importantly you don't start cleaning the table while some people are still eating. It's rude. If you want to be tipped like a pro, you should act like a pro. People don't go out to eat because we're hungry. We go out for the dining experience. Thanks

Our families favorite local spot. Pizza here is always on point as is the chicken francese and meatballs. Consistently good, parking lot is the worst.

Always a solid choice when in the mood for a quick slice of pizza or table service Italian food. My favorite is the grandma slice, it's thin crispy and with a savory garlicky sauce. I also recommend their margarita slice. Their food is also really good. This time, besides pizza, we also ordered lasagna and a prosciutto, mozzarella,roasted pepper, and spinach panini. Everything, including dessert, was delish. Now keep in mind not all umberto's are built the same, this one is the one in wantagh which happens to be my favorite. I have been to the one in Plainview and couldn't believe it shared the same name, big thumbs down for the plainview one. I also think the quality over at the original in New hyde Park has gone down in recent yearsParking: Big parking lot but does get crowded, so you may have to park in some of the further spots

Great Italian food and fast, awesome service. Rich, behind the counter is always professional and courteous and gets you in and out as quickly as possible.Wheelchair accessibility: Straight in and out with no stairs or impediments for wheelchairs. The entire restaurant is accessible.

So before I write this review, I have to preface this with saying that I am a pizza girlie, and I've certainly tried many different pizzerias on Long Island... but this is NEXT LEVEL! After just discovering this Wantagh gem, better late than never I suppose, LOL, I cannot stop raving about Umberto's take on the New York slice -- their high quality ingredients and their authentic touch is surely worth the hype especially when it comes to their incredible crust, fresh tomato sauce, and olive oil. (My mom literally said their pizza reminded her of a slice she had in Italy, and my boyfriend was very much impressed as well!) I recommend the slightly deeper dish slice called the Pazzo -- fresh sausage and peppers and olives and an unreal crust that will have you shouting from the pizza rooftops. I also love their take on the tri-colored Grandma's with three sauces --- marinara, vodka, and pesto. Finally, I have to preach their Chicken Bacon Ranch slice for being SO comforting and balanced. (Again, I cannot get over how good and crunchy their crust is!) Run, don't walk, to this Wantagh staple --- I TOTALLY understand why it has been voted best on Long Island.
