Have been using Wappingers AutoTech for several years. Personal vehicles, business trucks, emergency vehicles from associated agencies, power equipment purchases & repairs, towing. Best, most honest & reasonably priced shop to deal with in the area. Independently family owned, nothing like a dealer or franchise location where they try to upsell unnecessary parts or repairs. Highest recommendation I could give.

Please do not go to this shop. You will be overcharge and disrespected. I went to this shop to get a diagnostic because one of the vents in my truck was blowing cold air one one side. I ask them to tell me what was wrong before doing any work on my truck. I have Car Shield and wanted to make sure it would be covered. With them Not knowing that I called Car Shield to make sure everything would be covered. This buster Phil who is the owner tried to over charge me by saying Car Shield does not cover what needs to be done and tired to charge me over $2,800 for a job that would be $700 with parts and labor. When I told him I was going to pick up my truck to take it to another shop to be repaired. Phil the buster took out parts and wouldn't put them back in my truck or return them to me. He charged me $145 just for the diagnostic. I couldn't even drive my truck to the new shop to complete the repairs. I had to call a tow truck. If you want to be lied to, pay more money than the job requires and for your car to be worse off than what is was when you dropped it off then take it to Phil the Buster at Wappinger Auto Tech! He likes to lie and they are far from professional just ask for Ashley and say what's up! She likes to lie on her customers they change their stories and can keep them straight. I took my truck there thinking I would be treated with respect and a good repair and it was the total opposite. Never again, fool me once shame on me fool me twice the joke is on me and I am NO FOOL!

I was a walk in on a Saturday morning for an oil change. I expected a long wait as there were 4 customers in the waiting area ahead of me. But one hour later I m driving off the lot a very happy customer. The staff and service personel are very professional and polite. I will be a returning customer. Sally T.

My '17 Toyota Highlander broke down on the Taconic Parkway and I barely made it into parking lot right off the exit. AAA arranged for Wappingers Auto Tech to tow the car back to the Toyota dealer in Manhattan where we live. Some garages may have left the car in the random parking lot over night, then picked it up in the AM and driven it into the city, but Taylor told me when I dropped off the key that day that they would pick up it that night and keep it in their lot till the next morning. Phil, the general manager, was also on site when I was there, answering customer questions and trying to figure out repair drop offs that would work best with the customer's schedule. Finally, Taylor called to let me know when they were headed into the city, then called later to confirm that the car was dropped off. No one wants to have a car towed, but if you do and are in the greater Poughkeepsie area, call Wappingers Auto Tech!
