“We had the pleasure of visiting a sunflower farm in Auburn, NY, and even late in the season, it was absolutely breathtaking! ??
The vibrant blooms and serene atmosphere made it a truly magical experience. What made the visit even more memorable was a lovely lady at the checkout who asked if I was a famous actress. I played along and said I was Franny Drescher—she was so sweet and excited, promising to tell everyone she met a star that day! ?
Little did she know, I actually am an actress, filmmaker, and festival director! ??
It was such a delightful moment that gave me a little boost of confidence and reminded me how powerful a kind word or a fun lie can be. Humility is important, but celebrating your achievements and enjoying life’s little surprises is equally essential. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful sunflower farm—such a positive and uplifting experience!

“Love this gift shop! This would be a perfect place to pick up a gift for anyone in your life. They had a lot of kids options but also great home decor or general gifts. I got a ton of cards to restock my collection. I loved that they had a lot of small artists represented so we can get away from the major retailers. Shop small, y’all!”

“What a wonderful surprise, adding a sweet note to what has otherwise been a sad week with the loss of our loving pup. This dreary day turned around when our smiling delivery driver Donna, edible arrangement and flowers in hand, knocked on our door. Donna cheerfully delivered our surprises, she exudes the same happiness of the arrangements themselves! “Bonnie is wonderful to work with. She did my wedding flowers for my wedding and bridesmaids. She also did boutonnieres and wrist-lets for the wedding party. The flowers turned out absolutely beautiful and I received compliments on them all day. I recommend her for all your floral needs.”
“This is an amazing place to shop for all your hardware, plumbing, cleaning, gardening, necessities. Also have a huge variety of things that would be great for gifts for a anniversary, birthday, Christmas, or any other reason you would need to buy a gift for someone. I can get lost in there looking through everything and spend way too much money sometimes. That's a horrible habit that I have and am working on changing. But enough about that, if you haven't ever gone to this store you must set a day and go??? Thank you Ace Village Hardware for having such an amazing store. “These are the only candles we use! I am sometimes sensitive to candle scents and these never bother me. I have some favorites, but I love that there are always new scents to try.
This is also my go-to place for gifts when I'm not sure what I want to get. There are so many unique options, plus it's nice to be able to get a cute gift bag and fun card at the same time. I have always had a good experience browsing or getting help from staff to find the perfect thing.
And of course, I also love supporting a local, woman-owned business.”
“Charming Christmas shop in a beautiful historic home. Christmas items galore and then some!! Many quality brands. There is so much to look at, every room is filled to the brim. The owner is a lovely sweet man!! This is a must stop when visiting Skaenateles!!”
“Cute shop! I was excited for the bank exhibit. However, it wasn’t much of an exhibit. It was a few hanging photos and information about them in one small room. They had a fan which was a nice touch on the hot day. The store had cute options for adults and kids, with many toy and some clothing options for kids.”
