My tenure at Camp Echo Lake was marred by disappointment and injustice. From the onset, their arrangement of a cheap flight ticket resulted in the loss of my luggage by the airline, setting a tone of disregard for my well-being.
After investing two weeks in intensive workshops and forging what I believed to be genuine connections, I was blindsided by an abrupt eviction based on unfounded accusations. The lack of due process and fairness in handling the situation was glaring.
Adding insult to injury, the underlying racism manifested when I expressed a preference for a Palestinian flag during staff greetings instead of an Israeli one. This preference was met with hostility and led to baseless accusations from camp leaders.
Furthermore, some accusations stemmed from rumors, including one suggesting I sought weed, despite the fact that camp leaders themselves frequently indulged in alcohol and smoking at the pub. It’s ironic that they found nothing incriminating on me, yet chose to perpetuate unjust claims.
The abrupt eviction, coupled with the humiliation of being escorted to the airport by a previous police officer, epitomizes the camp’s disregard for basic human dignity.
I am profoundly disappointed by the unjust treatment I endured at Camp Echo Lake. While legal action will be pursued, I refuse to remain silent about the injustice and discrimination I experienced.

Nice place for a retreat for us personal games and activities equipment not very welcoming but overall the place very well maintained and full of activities.
As for the food, they really need to work to improve the consistency of the meals they provide.

Camp Echo Lake is a wonderful place for kids!My 9 year old grandson has attended this sleep away camp for 2 years and loves every minute.Staff are caring, patient and supportive of the campers and bring their areas of expertise to camp. The activities, trips and facilities are top notch and the mantra at Camp Echo Lake is to Be Kind and Try Hard.

Have experienced this camp as a camper, as a counselor, and as a parent. Quite simply, it’s the most magical place.Echo Lake gives kids the summer of their lives & simultaneously brings out their potential. Very nurturing and supportive environment. Every child feels special here. Life-long friendships ensue.Extremely well run organization; leadership is second to none.Only tremendous love for the green & gold!

I went to camp Echo Lake for a work weekend. There was about 40 of us coming from all over. We stayed in the cabins and utilized every aspect of the entire camp. The cabins were really nice and clean upon arrival. There were bathrooms and sinks in the cabins which was awesome. A small bathhouse was not far away with really nice showers. The only thing I could say was they were advertised as heated and defenitly were not!The kitchen staff was incredible in serving up three meals a day with snacks in between. They were amazing at catering to vegan and vegetarian's as well! The camp staff in general was awesome. We had several classes including mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and yoga. The staff helped set up materials and walked us through how to properly use them every step of the way. The staff even set up an area for Olympic games and transported water as well. This camp had such a great set up, so many things to do and see, and a staff that made a huge difference in making things run smoothly!

I was lucky enough it be apart of this camp for a week. Back when I was younger I was in a program that allowed me to go away to camp echo lake for free. First time ever being away from my parents. My time there was so amazing I’m almost 30 years old, and I still remember this place and how much fun I had and , the workers were loving and made me feel very safe. I still have my yellow echo lake shirt! I still remember the songs we all sang “green and gold GREEN AND GOLD!! “ friends friends friends we will allwaysssss be! I even won an award the last day, I was so shocked , I didn’t see that coming. I look back at the website now and see how lucky I was to experience that place. I’ll be forever grateful for the experience and opportunity Lauire and Tony gave me.

This place is totally magical. So many activities here - sports, lake bouncy castles, canoeing, kayaking, swimming pools, climbing, hiking, obstacle courses...too many to mention. The place is recently remodeled and the cafeteria food is delicious. Really hope to bring my kiddo here when hes old enough.
