A lot of things need to change and improve at this Dollar General location!! Went for the first time yesterday (Friday about 4:30 pm) to grab a few odds and ends. I found everything I wanted. The store is new in the past year. It was very clean, organized and well stocked. The situation got absurd when we realized there was only one employee working in the entire store and he was the manager! There were 8 customers in line and the miserable obnoxious manager was the only cashier. We asked if he could open the self-checkout registers (there are 4) and he said, NO! They will never be open again because over $100,000 worth of merchandise theft occurred by customers using them and walking out the door without paying. That’s when we asked him about additional employees coming to help checkout all of us customers in line and he informed us that he was the only one working. He had worked three doubles in the past three days and he was sick and tired of his job and he was closing the store in 30 minutes at 5 PM and it would not be open again until sometime on Saturday. He complained out loud and openly to everyone in the store, we could all hear him. He said he can’t get any quality employees to work for him. They repeatedly call in and tell him they are hung over and unable to come to work. He obviously was not happy and does not belong in a customer service position working in a store environment. If you’re the manager hiring employees, that’s your responsibility to check references and hire qualified people, not drunks and addicts!! He said he was going home to start looking for another job… Take your chances visiting this Dollar General store in Warrensburg NY. It may or may not be open during regular business hours…

today i was in there for an exchange/refund and when I asked someone he was unable too because he wasnt a manager. He went to get the manager and he was incredibly rude, he was on break so he publicly said to the store that he is on break and no refunds until he is back. very embarrassing to be singled out like that. will not go here again.

I am not happy the Manger of the store is very rude my dad went in on break to get a pack of cigarettes and the guy was Like I can't help u right now and then my dad got angry and told him off and was kicked outta the store I have had issues with this guy last week and the week before just being very rude

I would give zero stars if I could. I used to work here but I quit Sept 7th. I quit because of the manager. He is extremely mean, acts like he thinks he is better then everyone else. He is a very angry person. I loved my other coworkers but the manager no. I have witnessed him get angry with customers because sale prices don't ring up correctly. He will talk behind customers back or other employees back when they are not around. Yes I have heard him talking badly about customers. He is a ticking time bomb. He will lie about customers to get them banned from the atorw for leaving a bad review. He does lie ro the police and I have proof of it.

Went to this store randomly while in the area to grab some items I needed while we were passing through. The employees were great. The manager on the other hand was terrible. It was a very uncomfortable experience because of them. It’s sad that this person is in a position of power. I will be avoiding this location for the foreseeable future. Very bad representation of a company.

If you want a store, where you can cash out your self with NO interaction go for it. But when something goes wrong you need to hunt down someone. Or if you find out you were double charged ( with proof) nobody knows how to fix that. Even the snooty manager doesn't know either. Go a little further up to the family dollar. They are much more polite.
