Should be called 1 star bank

I have banked locally with this bank in our community for 24 years. I am sure the employees are the number one reason I am still banking there. I am a low manintenance person. I deposit and withdraw and take responsibility to my banking. I don't do a lot of digital commerce. Every time I have needed something they have done it with 5 star service. Jody and Megan are outstanding in leadership and we are lucky to have them at that level of consistency. The tellers learn who I am and know me and my needs.

Five star bank is the worst they just charged me for 2 overage fees when money is set to transfer on Thursday’s. But it Transfered on Tuesday when the funds weren’t available. They told me it wasn’t they’re fault even tho it’s a bank issue. I highly recommend choosing a different bank? Where should I do my banking now?

The single worst bank I've ever done businesses with. My debit Card has been shut off multiple times, I've been put on hold for hours, making payments is always a hassle. All aspects of FiveStarBank is laughable at best. Not to mention the tellers & accountants are unprofessional & completely clueless in their field of work.

I have had over 10 auto loans in my life and can honestly say Five Star Bank does not even deserve 1 star. To start off there online banking is out of the 1990's. Could never get it to work to make payments. My wife and I fell one payment behind and worked out a agreement with them to add the payment on to the end of the loan which would make us current and we could continue with regular monthly payments. We made every payment after that timely. They started charging us a 10.95 fee to make payments, and they never honored there agreement with our one missed payment with adding it on to end of loan, instead They reported us to the credit bureaus that we were over 90 days late with payments sending our score dropping from 750 to 590. In the end I sold off stocks and paid off the entire loan in under 2 years instead of the 6 year term it was for. They charged another 10.95 fee for paying off the entire balance of $39,000. My only satisfaction is they will no longer earn any interest from us and I will write bad reviews everywhere and am filing a complaint with the attorney general.

Worst bank to ever deal with, don't go there they are not trustworthy. Watch out, a lot of these small banks are scam too If I could rate them below -1 star i would.

I never signed any paperwork to be a five star bank member they bought HSBC (it would seem from the news the sale was maybe an embezzlement attempt?) So when five star took my accounts over, my auto payment on my loan stopped working. I went to get a car loan and was informed I was in collections (after 60 days past due) Called their collections department with every intention to pay my full balance on the phone right there, Had gotten about 5 words out and was cut off my the lady (I use the term loosely) on the other side. She immediately belittled and berated me, I tried to be nice but she just really kept purposely trying to bring the conversation to an argument or trying to get me to swear (maybe then she gets to hang up?) After about 10 minutes we had determined I would need to bring a check to the bank the next day from my other bank. I thought it sucked they couldn't do a direct withdrawal from another account of mine at a different bank, I was able to setup a direct deposit but she didn't want that either. So then she flipped out again for some reason (I think I asked her to mail me some info on the account?) She asked if I was playing games with her. I don't know what planet this lady was from but on Earth, asking a bank employee for your bank account info during times of a sudden $1k+ transaction is not the setup for any popular jokes. This was like a year ago and I still remember it so vividly. I cant remember her stupid name but If you call to pay your bill and you get a real piece of trash on the other end just hang up on her and call back asking for someone besides the gutter-slag you just hung up on. Do your blood pressure and credit rating a favor.

Loyalty Program!?!?! I find it hard to believe that the concept of charging an outrageous fee to delay a payment is even legal, let alone a good idea. Rather than showing a thank you, this program smacks of showing condescension and contempt for your loyal customers. Delaying a payment without penalty would be a great reward for loyal customers, but replacing a late payment penalty fee with a program fee in addition to an extra month of interest is nothing but good, old fashioned flim-flam. Congratulations! You have, once again, confirmed the greediness of the banking industry. What happened…run out of homes to foreclose?
