I'm not sure what to make of this wine-tasting experience. Just to be clear, I wasn't expecting a high-end Napa-grade winery. I went in with the right expectations. And also I understand that each bottle of wine here is roughly between $20~$30 and their Reserve Cab comes in at around $50.However, my issue with Duck Walk is that they way open up their tasting room actually deteriorates their value prop and their wine. Duck Walk, despite the size of their winery. produces a whole variety of wine - from rieslings to cabs to malbecs to merlots. And what this does is each variety or wine just doesn't grapple with its own character. Plus the Long Island wind can be sense with type except for a few.But what's the most disappointing is the way they run their tasting room. You order the 4 you want to drink and they give it to you in plastic cups. Are you kidding me? I understand the convenience but much of these wines need the temperatur of the hand to warm things up. Not sure if folks comes here just to get drunk but certainly they are not giving their wines to be truly "tasted".'My suggestion for Duck Walk is to focus on a few varieties and compensate for the "sharpness" of all their grapes. The Aphrodite is my favorite and the one that exemplifies the type of grape they have at Long Island. Everything else comes across aggressive or square peg in a round hole.

The wine was 'ok'. I have never been to a winery that I had to pay for my tasting FIRST before I even decide to purchase any wine! I was told that I had to pay for the tasting first because once I walk out the back and sit, I could leave and they could do nothing about it. I said (reluctantly) 'OK'. I sat to enjoy my wine. I decided to purchase 1 bottle. The lady(same lady) came down the stairs and proceeded to take my order. She then asked me..."Remind me...did you already pay for your tasting"? Like what? If it is a normal practice to have someone pay for tastings up front, then why was that question asked of me???! I will not go back.

Small outdated staff was not super welcoming. Floor in main room is uneven like an unfinished basement and the use cheap folding tables and chairs. Overall not the best vineyard experience I've ever had.

I've been to this winery twice - once on a wine tour bus and once on my own. They're known for their sweet dessert wine and other notable varieties. The space inside is one very large room with a stand up bar where you can do wine tastings. They also have a little store where you can buy bottles of wine, some clothing items and other little things. The grounds this vineyard are on are very beautiful. The vineyards are right next to the tasting room, and we happened to go right before harvest so we saw grapes hanging on the vine. I wouldn't say this space has a lot of charm. Compared to other more quaint and high end wineries, I think this spot is just OK. Their wines are reasonably priced, and they accept a lot of tour buses so there is value for your money. If you're looking for affordable, sweet wine - this is your spot.

Pit stop at a wine vineyard on the way to Montauk is a good idea. I guess it is off season now so not a lot of people on Saturday plus I get there early. Even it in September but the weather is still very hot. We get wine testing course $16 each not include some snacks. Live music on, poor puppy is so hot but they have cold water so it help a lot. Nice sipping wine and see peaceful view.

We did not like the wine that much, tables inside are plastic, wine was served in plastic cups over a paper plate...it felt more like a college cafeteria instead of a winery. The tasting was actually very affordable, but I would have preferred a higher price point and a good experience.

Went to Duckwalk for a friends birthday. We did a tasting. The staff were all super nice. You got to choose four of their wines. They had every option from whites, to reds, to rosés and dessert wines. They even give you a little piece of chocolate if you get the dessert wine. They had a live band outside that people were enjoying. You can also sit inside or outside. It was an extremely pleasant experience. The wine was delicious and I would definitely recommend.

Vine is great, but sorry - what is your attitude? The lady at the register treated us like we were not welcome at the vinery. Very rude service. In the end she yelled ‘Hey guys, let’s go’, wrapping up our visit. Will never go back

Duckwalk wasn't my favorite winery of the trip. As others have mentioned when you walk in, it isn't really clear where to go to check-in. The interior seems to maybe be an old church or something like that. They do have a large tasting bar. You grab a sheet and pick the four wines you'd like to taste. They then write them on a paper plate with plastic cups. Now for the price of the tasting, the paper plate and cups work. However, I would honestly prefer to pay more for the tasting and have it be a bit of a nicer setup. You then take your cups outside. The outside area is big an open, but there was no patio cover, and the plantings etc left a little to be desired. The vineyard was quite beautiful though. My favorite of the wine was probable their reds. If you are looking for a cheap place to do a tasting with a decent sized outdoor area, then Duckwalk does fit the bill. If you are looking for something a bit fancier this may not be the best fit.

The staff was very friendly and super helpful and informative. It's a nice place to sit back and enjoy some live music on the patio while tasting some delicious wine. Definitely reccomend.

The name says it all. We should have walked out! Underwhelming wines served in plastic cups. Flights served on paper plates with descriptions written on them. Unfriendly, pompous attitude. Will not return.

Love this winery! Great variety of wines - some wonderful reserve varietals. Had the place all to ourselves on a weekday afternoon, so some extra special service! Yes, ended up with several bottles to take home.

Had a fabulous time doing the wine tasting and chatting with other sippers and our hostess ELAINE was divine! We left with a mixed case of amazing local wines.
