Tomatoes for 60 dollars for two bags is WACK! How can anyone charge such prices and justify these prices. Challah bread for 17 dollars a pop. Who shops here? How do we enable such behavior!!! I get it's good stuff but yo Green thumb, gets a thumbs DOWN.
I get the same small tomatoes at a market for 15 bucks. You must stop the insanity. Hamptons is a JOKE.

#DCGourmet report from the Hamptons, Watermill, NY. The Green Thumb is a quaint roadside organic farm market, boasting a huge selection of local produce, including both their own, and select other local produce. Got a local watermelon from them today that was so fresh, it still had the dirt. Don’t worry, they have a nice place to wash produce.
Very impressed with the variety of produce, including several types of tomato and eggplant. The subtropical climate of eastern Long Island also makes veggies such as okra available, as it was today. They have HUGE sunflowers full of seeds for only $5. Lettuce season is upon us, and they have several types of plugs for you gardeners to plant just in time for fall.
Was pleasantly surprised by some of the prices. Potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant very well priced. Was a bit shocked at prices of peppers, at nearly $13/lb. That was a first.
There is a great play area for those of you with children. Check it out.

So glad that I stopped by. The selection and variety organic farm fresh produce and plants was great. Shout out to Jonny from Hen of the Woods Market in SouthHampton Market for sending us this way!The organic English cucumbers were the best I’ve ever had. Perfect density for the vinegar cucumber salad I love to make.

This place has a variety of plants, despite being small. I found lemon thyme, citrus thyme and regular thyme. I was impressed to see purple kale.

Certified organic veggies with a good selection of fresh produces from their own farm, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The also have CSA programs and I am part of one - nice selection of tasty treats, they organize a visit or two of the farm every year (one for strawberry picking, one for a pumpkin picking). The farmers know and remember me. A real family feel ...
